We came here because the restaurant we were going to eat at originally was closed. Really good food, and even better sweet potato fries. Best of all, they were gluten free! There is a separate fryer, with no gluten and JUST fries (regular, sweet potato). Our server, Morgan was really nice and helpful. When we told her about the allergy alert, she wrote it down and told the chef AND the manager. If you have gluten allergies, I really recommend eating here!

I used to love dining here. But the last two times I haven’t felt great afterwards. The latest attempt, the pizza looked “normal”, which made me hesitate. I let Nima take the first bite. Gluten found! And that was despite having a manager’s signature that indicated they knew I had an “allergy”. So maybe the Lucky Monk is okay if you are looking for a reduced gluten meal, but don’t go if you have celiac.

Nice selection on Gluten Free menu, burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, pizza! They have a dedicated fryer for French fries and sweet potato fries. I ordered a chicken sandwich which is huge. GF bun was tasty but fell apart when eating so just took top part off in order to eat it. Would go back

A good amount of choices. Food was delicious- but I had a reaction to something. Definately cross-contamination in my meal. It was extremely busy, waitress wasn't very attentive...she didnt seem to understand the medical necessity of my requests, or rather didnt really care. I might try again next time we are in the area...but at a less busy time & I will be very vocal about my needs.

Our server was very knowledgeable! They have a gluten free menu with great choices. It was hard to decide. My daughter and I had burgers on gluten free buns and the sweet potato fries. The fries were amazing! My son had the pizza.

Had a delicious burger on a gluten free bun and sweet potato fries that were cooked in a dedicated fryer. Beware: portions are H-U-G-E.

My teenage son recently went there and said it was the best GF pizza he has ever had, and we’ve tried them all. He actually had to confirm with the server twice if it was GF because it was so good.

My waiter could not be inconvenienced enough to keep me safe without attitude. He pissily told me that I could have a few items without anything good on it. So different from my last experience. I have a $50 gift card for here that will be wasted because I don't feel like having a celiac attack over this douche. First time was amazing but this time will be my last.

The Lucky Monk is easily one of the best restaurants around. The food is top notch and they do watch the gluten. Salmon was the best I have ever had at any restaurant around. I went back again on another date and had corn beef with a GF bun and it was top notch. All my friends love the food there.

The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable about gluten allergies and the chef is always notified if someone has an allergy. Almost everything can be made GF and they now offer a gluten free bun for burgers and sandwiches which they didn't before.

Server not knowledgable but found info I needed by asking (and I looked online). They charged $4 to sub veggies in for bread for our appetizer. They were few and the peppers weren't cleaned properly (still had the seeds and white in them). The food was good but I felt unwelcome. Disappointed.

Dedicated fryer! That's great. I had a sunrise burger(bun free) with fries ( truffle Parmesan)

Great fries- a touch more truffle would be nice

Burger- not bad. The egg was a nice touch as was the bacon marmalade. I don't think it should be served with lettuce. It hides the subtle flavors of the marmalade. Plus it tasted a bit off. Not old, just not good.

The brown ale (gf) was not bad. It def has sulfites as I had a reaction to it. But nothing terrible

Service is very good

While they do not have a dedicated gluten-free menu, this kitchen and staff were VERY well-versed in how to prepare things gluten-free and how to keep everything safe. French fries are fried in a dedicated fryer, the buns (non-gluten free) are toasted in a separate toaster, so they do not contaminate the hamburgers! While they do not offer gluten-free buns, I was just happy to be able to get a safe hamburger sans bun, or wrapped in lettuce, if I wanted. Or fries! But they had several other options as well - the menu indicates some items can be prepared to accommodate gluten free or other allergy requests. The wild mushroom risotto was delicious! (I added chicken! Yum!) The waitress we had said they take allergies and gluten-free very seriously. They did advise that ingredients can sometimes change, so to check w/ each visit. The risotto sauce had recently changed, so I did wait a bit while they checked for the ingredients on it. But the management, kitchen and wait staff were all pleasant and great to work with. We did call ahead and I asked some questions when I made a reservation (we had a large party), but most of my questions were answered again by our waitress who was just as knowledgeable. Will definitely visit again! 4-stars only because no dedicated GF menu.
