The Meatball Stoppe

I’ve gotten sick twice here. Finally I used my nema sensor and it showed something in my meal has gluten. I got the polenta with the sausage meatball and red sauce. I contacted them about this and they basically told me I’m wrong and that they have a celiac in the family so it’s impossible my meal had gluten. I tried a year later and it still tested positive.

I ordered the same thing as my husband who is also gluten sensitive, except for the Buffalo chicken meatballs, I got sick, he did not. We always take gluten-ease to prevent cross contamination. The penne was gf.

Great food and awesome people!

Oh man. This place. Just go here. I'm a gf vegan and I had tons of options. The veg meatballs were insanely good. They have gf pasta also. Two staff members are veg and they make a huge effort to provide options. The staff was all so nice and enthusiastic. Ending my meal with a double espresso right now as I type this. If I lived in Orlando this place would see me once a week if not more.

My boyfriend and I arrived at 8:15pm and even though they were set to close soon, they were extremely attentive. The chef came out on multiple occasions to ensure that food was prepared to satisfy a gluten free allergy, and the owner even came out to greet us. As someone who is picky with gluten free pasta and noodles, I was very pleased with the many options. Exceptional service and food, and we will definitely be visiting again.

wow....the Chicken Marsala and Jeffy's sausage meatballs were really good ...very nice atmosphere and friendly. looking forward to going again!!!!

I spoke with the chief while I was inside picking up my order. Everything that is gluten free is prepared seperately and cross contamination is avoided with careful kitchen work. They are presently working with their baker to get gluten free bread for those with allergies. My only suggestion is to request no bread with your gluten free meal. I got home and had bread on my plate (it is divided so there was no contamination, but still) I called to verify the gluten free pasta and removed the bread myself.

Very tasty, quick, local and friendly people. I will definitely return.
