I had an okay experience. Everything is labeled and the waiter seemed relatively knowledgeable. We did however receive dessert with gluten containing items that had to be replaced and they ran out of gf bread which they neglected to tell us until we had already ordered. Because we’re vegetarian there wasn’t much else to eat with the cheese course. Overall I would not return because I think there may be some lack of communication between waitstaff and the kitchen.
Several options available for GF but unfortunately my experience was lacking. Notified the server of Celiac and requirement for table to be GF. First course came with non-GF bread. Server apologized and took the bread away. Salad course was fine. Entree, two people in the party were given the teriyaki steak which is not GF. Grateful my family understands and they did not cook the steak until I was done cooking my food. Desert course was delivered with gluten dippers. Very disappointed in the lack of attention or detail. I recommend asking a LOT of questions.
Fun experience meal! Waiter (Gavin) was super knowledgeable about GF. The entire menu (minus pot stickers, mushroom ravioli and teriyaki steak) was gluten free. All cheese fondue was (or could be made GF) Gluten free bread available on the cheese course. Every salad was GF. They brought us our own GF dessert board with brownies and chocolate chip shortbread, marshmallows, strawberries and bananas. The chocolate fondue was all GF (there was one that had cookie crumbles but stated that could be left off)
Very fun! Very knowledgeable and careful of cross contamination. In order for my son who has celiac to participate, we all had to eat GF. We did not mind but, the bread was terrible. Meat, sauces and dessert were delicious! Very expensive. Approximately $50 per person to eat then add drinks and tip...
Their gluten free menu is extensive and I really didn't feel like I was missing out at all. They have gluten free beer to substitute for regular beer for their cheese course and yummy gluten free salads. I would highly recommend for celiacs to come here but only if everyone in your party is willing to do everything gluten free. If not there would be cross-contamination all over the place. I was there with two non-gluten free people and they also didn't feel like they were missing out because the gluten free bread and dessert dippers were really good! Just make sure to specify with your server that you want all gluten free things to dip. Great food and great service!
I went to the Melting Pot with a group of friends. In order for this to be gluten free, you must order separate from everyone and ask everyone else not to get gluten containing items. It doesn't feel very good in a large crowd.
I ordered a side salad and emphasized that it had to be gluten free, they brought it out and presented it to me with croutons.
There was a vegan in the group, he got a salad, they brought his out with cheese.
Terrible service, terrible knowledge about gluten free and cross contamination.
my experience here was wonderful! I came for KC restaurant week, and that entailed a four course meal. Everything was marked GF on the menu accordingly, and the staff took extra precautions for cross contamination. The first was cheese and vegetables, and they have GF bread available. The second course was salads, again with GF options; the third was meats and our waiter was very knowledgeable about which sauces were and were not GF (avoid the teriyaki steak / teriyaki sauce) and swapped out the gluten options for extra gluten free items.
the dessert fondue options were EXTENSIVE - fruit (obviously), GF brownies, GF snickerdoodles, banana/date bites - sooo good and SO MUCH FOOD.
our waiter was amazing, it was a fun first-time experience, and I did not get sick!
Had a rough experience to begin with here and not sure why. They have also changed their hours so best to call ahead. Was really looking forward to this eating here but after making our order to my surprise it came out with regular bread for the cheese fondue. Although the rest of the meal was fine and they came back out with gf bread (probably Udi’s not sure) I felt it was unsafe! Next they came out with the main course and the sauces and that was sent back because they included teriyaki not gf! There are very few things on the menu that are gf! My daughter who lives in another state tried it too and it was bad news for her too! If you eat here be prepared! Our servers were nice and not sure what happened but will have second thoughts about eating here again unfortunately because I have some very fond memories
