Amazing food. The cheese with their gluten free bread was so good. I got shrimp, the duck,tuna, and filet mignon. They had so many Gluten free options and the desert was seriously AMAZING best brownie and snickerdoodle cookie pieces I've ever had. I wanted to ask for extras to take home. It was so good. I'm trying to find a good reason to go back because it is expensive but so worth it.
Been going here for a few years now for my anniversary (since it can get pricey very quickly). They have so many options. Our servers are always very knowledgeable and the manager always makes it a point to talk to us and ask how our meal is. I highly recommend going here for a special night out!
I had dinner there two days ago 6/19/18. It was amazing. I dined with non-celiac friends so needless to say I was concerned about cross contamination. It was great! We had cheese and chocolate, which were both gluten free. Instead of having the whole table deal with the gluten free dippers ( bread), I opted to get separate bowls to put my cheese and chocolate selections in although there was no way to keep it hot. I took my portion first. They brought out separate dippers for me on a glass tray, not the wooden one. The waiter told me about each ingredient as he put everything together. They used Udis multigrain rolls which worked well with the cheese along with apples and veggies. I also got GF brownies, snickerdoodles, and marshmallows to go with my fruit for the chocolate. The menu specifically stated what was gluten free or what could be excluded to make it gluten free. They are not limited at all in what sides they could give us for our fondue. They had GF bread, cookies, brownies, etc. There was plenty of variety and the waitress was extremely knowledgeable and sensitive about our dietary needs. Very impressed!
Their gluten free menu is extensive and I really didn't feel like I was missing out at all. They have gluten free beer to substitute for regular beer for their cheese course and yummy gluten free salads. I would highly recommend for celiacs to come here but only if everyone in your party is willing to do everything gluten free. If not there would be cross-contamination all over the place. I was there with two non-gluten free people and they also didn't feel like they were missing out because the gluten free bread and dessert dippers were really good! Just make sure to specify with your server that you want all gluten free things to dip. Great food and great service!
Safe food gluten wise, but you have to cook your own meat, which I find weird because I paid $80. I've never cooked duck and I was nervous the whole time because I don't know the proper meat temperature for it or how red it's supposed to be. Maybe I'm not skilled enough to eat here, but I'm worried I might have undercooked my own food. The experience for the cheese fondue was great, but I'd never get the meat again.
Great experience here. Our server was knowledgeable and and very helpful. Had the Wisconsin cheddar cheese fondue and they used Redbridge beer. Came with veggies and fruit and Udi’s bread (maybe a roll? It was brown ). Our server let us know that one of the dipping sauces (teriyaki) is not GF so she did not bring that it as an option with the meat.
I thought the staff was knowledgeable until recently I found out there is Worcester sauce in the cocktail sauce. I was getting glutened every visit despite reminding them I am celiac. Unfortunately, after finding this out the manager was not very helpful saying it was “only a little Worcester”. Super disappointing. I did appreciate the server who finally told me.
I am so surprised to read previous reviews from several years ago. I am glad I didn't look at the reviews before going. We had a fantastic experience last night. First thing noticed is that they have a GIG GF certification on their door, entering the restaurant. Everything is clearly marked GF on the menu. They had GF bread for dipping into the cheese fondue (which was prepared at the table so was unquestionably gf). The meat fondue was great. And who wouldn't like chocolate fondue, especially when accompanied with a GF platter of fruit and GF baked goods. Our server and the two managers who checked us often were wonderful.
I've been twice now to eat, and both waiters were well versed in gluten free and what my options were. We went on Easter and they adapted there set menu for us. they gave delicious bread, brownies, cookies, and meats to dip in safe gf options. I love this location!
Amazing dinner! We came for great plates and loved it. Since the last time I ate at a Melting Pot I was diagnosed with Celiac and now have to eat gluten free, and they offer an amazing selection. Everything (including drinks) is clearly marked GF or not on the menu and the waiter was super helpful and knowledgeable. We had delicious 4 cheese fondue w/veggies and gluten free bread, a variety of meats in Mojo broth, and a dark chocolate w/raspberry liquor chocolate fondue that came with gluten free pound cake and brownies for me. The gf brownies taste better than regular brownies! The great plates meal came with a bottle of wine, we got the moscato which was delicious. Great service and a great atmosphere. We’ll be back for a special occasion in the future!
The kitchen manager took care of our service at the Framingham location. We were assured all pots and utensils were washed and sterile to ensure no cross contact issue. The ingredients were all GF with Udis bread for the cheese fondue. The restaurant has a certificate stating they are trained for gluten free safety. Overall a very good experience.
I was so impressed with the gluten free options! Almost all of the cheese fondues can be made GF and they have GF bread to dip. The salad can be made without croutons and main entrees are safe also. End with chocolate founde served with brownies, ginger snaps and fruit. Absolutely amazing experience but pricey!
Large amount of gluten free, they even give you a whole plate of gluten free dessert! The staff is knowledgeable & food is great
the staff really understand the needs of those with celiac. Every time I've eaten there, it's always a great experience, and I never feel sick afterwards!
so many gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian/pesco options. staff is very knowledgeable, the manager made sure w3 had a table with more than one burner so I could have gluten free and my gluten eating family had their own. service was fantastic and the meal was delicious.
The service and staff were awful. I told my server that I had celiac and a severe gluten allergy twice before ordering, and he reassured me that he’d make note of it. We had 5 different severs in the course of one hour and twice they brought out their regular wheat bread.. when I told them I had a gluten allergy they looked at me like they had no idea and then brought out the gluten free plate. Had I not brought it up, I would’ve gotten sick. I understand that people make mistakes, but to make the mistake twice in one meal when it’s a serious allergy is a little ridiculous. The melting pot prides themselves on their ability to provide for gluten allergies, but this location is nothing like the other locations we’ve been to. We will not be returning.
The food here is amazing. They can be gluten friendly, and they substituted the chicken teriaki for more beef in our entree. It cost more, but only bc we asked for the filet. You cook everything yourself, so my husband just took out some cheese for his bread to keep it gf. The waitress was new and not too aware of gf issues and gave us a cheese mix with beer in it. Thankfully, we were able to stop her before she poured it in! She also offered to substitute cookies in the chocolate with graham crackers! Um... no . But other than properly training their staff, the meal went well. With dessert, they have some options that are gluten-friendly like fruit and coconut marshmallows for the chocolate. My only complaint is that they do not have gluten free bread or brownies. For the price, it would be a nice addition.
So amazing! I am dairy free as well and was able to get dairy free cheese and chocolate fondue! The cheese was so good that you couldn’t tell it was dairy free. They also had gluten and dairy free bread and many gluten free main course meat options. The menu is clearly marked. The staff is knowledgeable on all aspects of their food also even down to the condiments. Highly recommend. My new favorite place!
Had I died, and gone to gluten free heaven?...almost! But, luckily, I'm still here to write this review! So, to start off, they can make gluten free fondue with red bridge beer! wow! I did not try this kind but many of the others were also gluten free. Most of the dippers (including gluten free bread!!) were gf. Salad available gf. Almost any entree choice and cooking method gluten free. Now the dessert...brought out gf brownie and muffin along with fruit etc. AMAZING! Our server, AJ was great as well! (as I was dining with non-gluten free companions, I spooned my fondues out into my own separate dish to save from cross contamination) Amazing experience for someone who is used to always feeling left out when going out to eat!
I cannot say enough GREAT things about our experience here! It was the first time in my 4 1/2 years of being GF that I was able to enjoy a meal with my family from beginning to end! GF dressings, sauces, seasonings, bread to dip and desserts as well! And everything is clearly marked on the menu that is GF...and Don't worry, it's not a tiny list of options like at so many other establishments. A bit pricey, and it takes awhile to go through all the courses, but SSSOOOO worth it!
Ate the widest variety of food I've ever had at one sitting and did not get sick. Huge selection of GF options. Awesome experience, great service, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Menu items clearly marked GF and accommodations/modifications listed where needed.
This review is only for the chocolate fondue, but I was impressed. We stopped in without a reservation and had dessert at the bar. The friendly bartender has a girlfriend with celiac disease and he knew all about it. He brought out a special GF cupcake for dipping. Of course I couldn't have all the treats, but I was really happy!
Fun change from the usual fare. I enjoyed a salad and the duck cooked "bourguignon style." The night I was there they were out of gluten free bread--so I skipped the fondue. You may want too call ahead to make a reservation and reserve your bread. The restaurant only allows one pot at the table at a time. I think it's about 4 people per burner. This is a great option if the people without dietary restrictions are willing to share the gluten free options with you. If not you have to take turns with courses.
Sitting here with massive bloating and gross symptoms from eating here. Didn't even leave the restaurant before experiencing glutening symptoms, bloating and massive anxiety. Waiter wasn't trustworthy. Brought regular bread to the table after saying I was celiac AND ordering everything gf. Even had him replace the fruit and vegetables for fear of contamination. Was vigilant with questions the rest of the meal. Didn't get the large plate of gf desserts either, only gf brownies, fruit and marshmallows. Super disappointing.
This has become one of my absolute favorite restaurants. They have entire dedicated trays of food for those who are gluten intolerant. They have the most delicious gluten free bread, brownies, and SO many option. They even tell you what to substitute on the entree menu so that you can eat! I will legit go here once a month if I can.
As for training this particular Melting Pot does not provide it. Twice now we've been here and had clueless servers. If they want to claim to be GIG certified they need to actually train them to understand what gluten was. I went with my friend the last time who is not celiac and they brought us the regular bread anyway. Even after me telling them i was celiac.
