We went in under the impression that they did have a dedicated fryer. The wait staff had no knowledge of a separate fryer and they said that their home fries are cooked in the same fryer as fried chicken. Staff was very kind and worked with us to get us omelettes and grits.
Wonderful! The perfect Southern breakfast. They have one fryer just for the home fries, one for breaded fish, and one for everything else. The meat and eggs each have their own separate grills. We went for Saturday brunch, which is their busiest time, but I never felt rushed, and the waitress took her time answering all my questions. She didn't know what gluten was, but she apologized for not knowing and listened intently while I explained, then asked what they could do to accommodate me. Coffee was great too!
