I loved it! The food was delicious and I was able to eat an egg roll, spareribs and sesame chicken all gluten free! The spareribs were succulent. Moist and finger licking good. The egg roll was more like a spring roll, but good, though I may not order it again...I guess I really wanted a regular egg roll. Also had the Hawaiian fried rice which was excellent and enjoyed by both GF and non GF eaters. One non GF ordered the pad thai, it was not to her taste, but others said it was very good. I will definitely be going back here to try some other dishes and those amazing spareribs again. Staff were very friendly and pleasant and the decor was very nice. Superior quality food and dining experience.

Very safe. I've eaten here countless times and have never gotten sick. I just wish they would label their menu so I wouldn't have to choose items through trial and error.

not a huge Chinese food fan, but this was great, very fresh, and the lady (Assuming she was the owner) came over and told me that she has the ability to make 90% of the menu gluten free, and she doesn't have a gluten free menu because she wants us celiacs to feel included. love that. when in the area I'll be in for more of the general tso and pork fried rice

The best GF Chinese food we've had. Almost everything can be made gluten free, and everything we tried was delicious

Excellent! General Tso Chicken GF? AWESOME! What a great little place. The decor is a little lacking but the food is great! They gave us gf taco chips to dip. My husband had triple delight which I asked for pork instead of beef and white instead of brown sauce (just his preference) and it was delish! They were so nice and helpful as well as informed. We will be returning soon! Spoke to manager/owner who said they have a dedicated section of their kitchen for celiac. He has many customers with children who have allergies. He was very knowledgeable and nice

We found this restaurant from this App and was an all time great find. The owner of The Oriental was so informed and attentive about gluten that it put me at ease instantly. She spent time with us explaining that she could make about 90% of the menu gluten free, so she doesn't keep a separate menu. The owner took the time to explain what ingredients are used as an alternative in the GF dishes and what she can do to tweak a regular dish to be GF. They usually start out the table with the crispy noodles with duck sauce, but they gave us tortilla chips instead, which was a nice touch. It was like mexican/asian fusion. I am not a big egg roll guy but I tried a bite of my wifes and it was good. We had the GF spare ribs and while they taste a little different than what I would think of as the "traditional" Chinese spare rib, it was a good thing in this case. They almost tasted to be marinated in a duck sauce. I highly recommend them. We had chicken with bok choy and mongolian beef. Both were excellent and tasty. They weren't just good for GF, they were good for real deal asian fusion cuisine. Our only regret is that we live about 40 minutes from The Oriental, but we will certainly be back. I highly recommend this place!

For all of you that have been avoiding Asian food in fear of getting sick, this place is a must. It was a group eating so some of the appetizers ordered weren't gluten free while all the entrees were, so we can all share . The manager came to the table to make sure the order was taken correctly so no one would get sick. Even though the menu was written in a way that made you feel confident that things were gluten free the fact that she came to us to check made me feel even more confident.

Absolutely love this place...Owner and staff are the most accommodating to serious GF/celiac I've seen around the area. Almost everything can be made GF, even salt and pepper squid (fried and breaded w/GF crust). Food is really good, as they were the ones who originally started and owned panda asia fusion in freehold. This place is a must for any GF and anyone who loves real Chinese food that is clean, fresh, and tasty. You'll love it!

This restaurant is excellent. They are exceptionally knowledgable about restrictions for people with Celiac. They are also extremely accommodating. They can make almost anything gluten free. What a wonderful dining experience. I had the spare rib lunch special with gluten free egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was delicious!! I highly recommend it.

The Oriental has one of the best gluten free menus I have ever had. As a sufferer of Celiacs disease- I am always a little bit afraid to go out to eat based on proprietors' lack of knowledge as to what a gluten allergy entails. I also never thought I'd be able to eat Chinese again (outside of what I could prepare myself). Not only was Mimi, the owner, well versed in gluten free details, but she was so helpful and accommodating in her recommendations. In addition, the large majority of her menu is able to be made gluten free including egg rolls (the wrappers are made of bean curd)! The salt and pepper squid are the If you get one thing- get that dish. The seasoning is perfect, the squid tender (fresh!) and eat it fast before the other members of your group get to it first. In addition, we had a red curry and grand marnier shrimp that were equally as delicious. I will definitely becoming back to try more dishes off this extensive menu. FYI- it's tucked away in the Marlboro plaza on the north bound side of route 9. The proprietor has been told it's hard to find. If you call for directions- she's more than happy to guide you to gluten friendly shores.

A NEW hidden gem, tucked away on Rte 9 North just before the Marlboro Plaza(Kohl's) shopping center. The restaurant is set back off the road a bit and easy to miss if you don't look carefully. This has one of the most elaborate and best gluten free offerings in the area. So large that virtually the entire menu can be made indulgently(opposed to plainly or boringly prepared) gluten free including but not limited to delicious (pork and other types)fried rice, noodle dishes, ribs, crunchy tasty egg rolls, crispy fried/battered calamari and even has plenty of gluten free soy sauce and sweet sauce with gluten free chips(in place of noodles) for the table. Yes! I felt completely equivalent to my gluten eating family. The only items I believe currently not gluten free are the wontons and dumplings. Mimi, the owner, took the time to explain how careful they are at all facets of preparing and serving gluten free food to avoid cross contamination and how she has been serving and perfecting her gluten free dishes for over 20 years and takes gluten free dining extremely seriously. I was completely comfortable eating here. She was careful to serve my food before my family's for safety and was extremely attentive to whatever I or anyone needed during our dining experience. The service was excellent and not only were the gluten free versions delicious and enjoyed by the rest of my family too, the rest of my family raved about their gluten laden dishes as well. We all agreed we have found our new "go to" Chinese restaurant for now on. I recommend if you do try this restaurant(and I highly recommend you do) to take the time to write a review or tell others. With such a great menu and a discreet location, we want to make sure this new restaurant is known to as many people as possible and succeeds to stay in the area a long time so that we may enjoy the plentiful delicious offerings they have.

This wonderful new restaurant is my family's new favorite place! Finally delicious Asian Fusion for my Celiac Family! They can convert about 95% of the menu to be gluten free, therefore there is no separate GF menu. We are thrilled to enjoy egg rolls, spare ribs and even Lo mein again!! They are extremely knowledgeable and very careful with cross contamination. Friendly staff, too! Highly recommend!!
