I’ve been here so many times and have wonderful experiences! Their waffles are ALWAYS gluten free for brunch, they can make the majority of their offered dishes gluten free, and they take allergies/dietary restrictions very seriously. I’ve always had very knowledgeable servers and pleasant experiences. Plus the food is AMAZZZINGGG!

We ordered a vegan Thanksgiving for the first time. Our son, who is a freshman in college, decided he wants to be vegan. So our family is transitioning and it started with Thanksgiving. We had non vegetarian guests and EVERYONE loved the meal! We will do it again next year for sure.

I have Celiac Disease and am also daily free. Eating out isn’t usually very fun. The Owl House had a fabulous menu full of interesting and unique choices, most of which I could have. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable (Camille and Kate) . We ate dinner and then went back the next day for lunch. It was a great experience! Thank you!!

Best burger I’ve ever eaten! My first time at the Owl house. Our server was very knowledgable. She said everything they fry is gluten free and every thing is GF with the exception of one peach glaze sauce, regular hamburger buns and croutons. Everything else is gluten free so its pretty safe to eat there as a celiac. They ask you immediately when you come in if you have any food allergies and everything could be made vegan or dairy free. I ordered the BVE cheeseburger burger and fries. It was to die for!!!!! It had this amazing siriachia strawberry preserve sauce on it that was just amazing! They make their own gf bread in house and that’s what they used on the burger and again it was great! It wasnt dry or crumbly like the normal gf standard bread. It was really good and toasted! The fries were amazing as well and seasoned in house. My friend and I ordered both desserts that were vegan and gluten free and they were ok… my friend loved them both. We had the chocolate moose with cashews on top and it was very chocolatey and I personally am not a fan of chocolate so that’s why I said it was just ok. The other dessert we had was a peanut butter banana something… wasn’t sure exactly what it was… maybe a slice of cake with some peanut butter whipped frosting which tasted like brown Sugar. The frosting was really good but the cake part of it I’m still Not sure what it was. it was quit dense and looked like a cake with no flavor. But it was still nice to have options and being able to eat out safely for a girls night out! I will def be going back! In

Absolutely delicious food, quaint cozy location. They are accommodating for vegan and gluten free options.They have OSB cider on rotation, which is a favorite of mine.

I had a really good experience at this restaurant! I had the b.v.e. burger, the field greens, and fries. Everything was delicious and the wait staff was ensured me they could keep my food safe for a celiac. It’s been almost 24 hours and I feel good, I’m normally very sensitive to cross-contamination.

Owl House has dedicated fryers, but I got sick anyway from my meal (classic burger +fries). As always, ordering things online is risky, but they had a separate space for comments on the order. I also called ahead of time to ask some questions about their gf procedures and they seemed confident in their ability to handle celiac/gluten allergy, so I’m surprised that there was an issue. With COVID, maybe they’ve changed food prep? I don’t know, but please be careful!

The menu is small, but most items on the menu are available for gf modification.

Again, I got sick! Especially if you have a severe reaction to gluten, be cautious and thorough (ex. Calling in addition to making comments on the online order) if you choose to eat here.

Only have gone for brunch and was not disappointed. Safe fryer for potatoes. Really good homemade bread!! They get a 4 because the menu isnt labeled. However the servers are very helpful and most everything can be gf.

They were really careful and the food was delicious. The best restaurant in Rochester for Celiacs

I had a great experience and a really good meal. Small menu but the options are great. If I can make 1 suggestion that would be that they add gf pasta to there menu.

I've eaten here twice and have never had a reaction. Servers are knowledgeable about GF menu items. I ordered a traditional turkey dinner (with GF stuffing!) the first time, and buffalo cauliflower and fish fry the second time. Both meals were unbelievably delicious and I felt delightfully full afterward - no reaction at all. HIGHLY recommend.

The food here is always exceptional, with so many options for different needs (or none at all)! Portions are great, too. As an added bonus, The Gluten Free Chef bakery is right across the street!

We love the owl house! So many GF options and the staff is very knowledgeable. We have been there several times and go back at any opportunity we have.

Very disappointed. We drove 5hrs and arrived at 10:40 pm. Not many restaurants open but came to owlhouse because of gf options. About 4 people sitting at the bar but told us they were closed even though the hours said open until 11pm. ended up at The Distllery, which is open until 1am.

wonderful menu with friendly and knowledgeable staff . Tried the Tempe burger on gf bread with rosemary and pepper french fries. Everything was amazing.... especially as I am a huge carnivore.

Disappointed would be an understatement. I was excited to try The Owl House because of their supposed knowledge of Celiac Disease and the gluten-free diet. When I placed my order I double checked with the waiter that my order was, in fact, gluten-free, because I am always leery even if it says it is gluten-free on the menu. He said yes. Not even two hours after eating there I became terribly ill. The next day I called and asked to speak with the manager, then asked again if what I ate was gluten-free. I was told no. They took down my email address and phone number, stating they would send me a $20 gift certificate for the "inconvenience". I never received the gift certificate, nor will I ever go back. It is completely unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to be so specialized in the gluten-free diet to have a wait staff so unknowing and unskilled in the meaning and definition of "gluten-free". Eat at your own risk.
