Worst delivery experience I have had in recent memory. Food arrived soggy and cold, even though the restaurant is less than 5 minutes away. You can get much better food for way less elsewhere.

Too expensive for average quality food and terrible service.

I eat here all the time and always feel great. The waiters are super knowledgeable. No chips/fried items due to CC but there’s plenty of other options. They can do the plantains in a pan. Most tacos & main dishes are GF and super tasty!

After reading the reviews about this restaurant I was a little skeptical about going, but mt group had already planned to go here so I figured I would give it a shot. The second I told my waiter I had to eat gf she told me I couldn’t have the chips or anything fried and then told me what tacos were gluten free. Most of them are and I was pretty happy with their variety. I ended up getting the carnitas taco and the mahi mahi taco both of which were very good. I would definitely go again!

I had a great experience at The Painted Burro! I called ahead and talked to the hostess who explained that although they don’t have a GF menu, the servers are very knowledgeable. Upon sitting down, I explained to the server that I have C.D. and would have lots of questions. The waiter immediately started to explain what was safe, what was not safe, and what was at risk for contamination. The chips are fried in the same fryer as non-GF Foods, so instead, the waiter brought me a separate salsa and veggies. I had the mahi mahi taco and the kale/plantain side dish. So far, I’m feeling good!

Service was good and the waiter and manager were very careful about gluten and cross-contamination, however the food was totally bland and flavorless. My friend and I had three dishes between the two of us and all three were uniformly lacking in taste. Would not recommend.

Best Mexican food in greater Boston bar NONE! Many of the tacos are GF as are many appetizers. All the staff is knowledgeable about gluten. 10/10

Very limited selection. The tacos "should" all be gluten free, but many of them have components that are flash fried in contaminated oil, so really there are only two tacos to pick from. Neither of the choices were very tasty. The chips are also fried, and their substitute was a corn tortilla and salsa, which was decent but doesn't replace chips at a Mexican restaurant. Servers were pretty knowledgeable, but the place is expensive for the limited options they have.

Terrible service!! Also had a reaction after eating their food. They seem knowledge about gluten but there must be some miscommunication with the kitchen. The food is also expensive, tiny portions, and bland. The bar is really the draw to this place- really good drinks, good selection.
