The Pitted Date Vegan Bakery and Café

Great food, but terrible service.

We were very excited to try this restaurant because of all the gluten free and vegan options. When we ordered the server didn’t write any of our order down but seemed to have everything correctly memorized. After a few minutes 2 people out of our group of 5 received their food, and then a few minutes later we received our smoothies and drinks. After a long wait again 2 more of us got our food. We asked about our remaining dish, which was hotcakes. The server (not the one who took our order) was very apologetic and told us that the hotcakes were not put into the system as part of our order. Overall we were disappointed that our food didn’t come out all at once and that we never got the hotcakes. The food we did get was very good (I had the matcha latte and the banana sushi with tropical fruit waffles), but the experience was tainted by the service. I wouldn’t recommend coming here until the service improves.

After other reviews, I checked with them about their gluten-free offerings. I had the tropical crepes and they were delicious. No reaction- I know that's not always the best judge to go on but I am usually very sensitive to cross-contamination and felt great after my breakfast. :)

I ordered gluten free pancakes. I tested with the Nima Came back gluten. They redid the order. Came back showing gluten. When I asked what they used in the batter it contained gluten. Not safe!

So many places never have GF desserts but literally ALL of theirs are! Carrot cake, brownies, caramel bars, cheesecake, and cookies!! (All vegan too) In love.

Cute vegan bakery and café with gluten-free options. I had the banana sushi with toast and it was incredible!
