Great gf experience! I got the brisket sandwich. They had a separate menu with gluten free items. The sandwich was pretty good! The meat wasn’t as good as I thought it would be but much better sandwich than I thought! Be careful since they have a bunch of sauces and I couldn’t find a guide letting me know which of the sauces were fine. The fries were also great.
We ordered the combo platter for 2 with some additional sides for 4 people. (1 GF). The order was tagged in their system as GF and the items that were not GF came on a separate platter. (Corn bread, sausage). Many of their menu items can be made GF. I had street corn, without breadcrumbs.
They have a gluten free menu to look over. Along with listed what had cross contact. Well ordering they even mentioned and offered recommendations. Food was good but bun was crumbly.
My beautiful gf has celiac and is very sensitive to cross contamination. The menu states what is safe and what isn’t and said all the items from the smoker are not cross contaminated. However, the lady at the register said they only use ONE smoker for EVERYTHING so all the items on the menu are subject to cross contamination. We were not able to eat here as they cannot accommodate anyone who is susceptible to cross contamination.
Many Gluten free options with cross contamination info noted on GF specific menu. Staff member seemed well educated, asking specifically if gluten was preference or true allergy/celiac. Then stated that they would take extra care regarding cross contamination. Great food and yummy sangria. Reasonably priced considering location. Highly recommend!
Recently my 5 year old was diagnosed with Celiacs and lactose intolerance. No wheat or dairy. Eating out is a nightmare, places have gluten free options but cross contamination still a risk, etc.
We came here multiple times on our trip and were extremely impressed. To have a teenager take our order and resolve concerns with replacing certain entrees and sides with safe foods was very impressive. Substituting certain dips, canceling certain GF foods due to cross contamination (GF fries in the same oil for example). They got my kid a great meal that didn’t mess her stomach up. And didn‘t taste like cardboard bird food that she’s had to eat lately.
They were great, very patient and very helpful as we’re new to this stupid food allergy stuff.
Only thing is you’re not getting a ton of food but it was very good and like I said, the staff was outstanding.
Will definitely be back.
The GF menu is really good as it states what may have cross contamination (e.g. fries) and how they amend the dishes to make them GF. The lady at the till who took my order took me very seriously and 'Coeliac' was added as a note on my order. When we were seated the waitress brought over a selection of sauces from the sauce bar that were all gluten free. I had the Southern Pig sandwich and the Southern potato salad which all tasted amazing.
They don’t have a GF Menu but they do have an allergy guide that is pretty confusing. The chef did come talk to us and showed me what could be modified to accommodate me which greatly expanded my food choices. That gesture was greatly appreciated. Food was really good and there were no problems for me.
We have a son with an anaphylactic wheat allergy. They have an “allergy menu”, which specifies all allergens. I spoke to the chef and he was very informative about what was and wasn’t safe for our son. He had the turkey breast BLT sandwich with a gluten-free bun, no issues. No dedicated fryer. Staff in general was also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.
Talking to the hostess beforehand made ordering very easy - she gave me a GF menu before waiting in the long line. I loved the food - I shared the platter with the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage and had the potato salad/coleslaw as the sides. The only thing not GF was the cornbread.
I went based on reviews from this app. Pro tip: talk to the hostess to see the allergy menu before you stand in the long line so you’ll know what your options are.
I had turkey and the potato salad. Staff understood my allergy and how to accommodate. When the waiter brought our food out he repeated my allergy and what was removed, which was a wonderful way to let me know they’d paid attention. I come from a BBQ town and this place was not bad! Not award winning but enjoyable food and atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff.
i’ve gotten their cobb salad a few times and it is SO GOOD, it’s very big and i always have some to take home
The smells drew me in. It’s cafeteria style so you order and pay and they bring your food to you. There was a bit of confusion on the part of the worker taking our order. She was not too confident or knowledgeable on GF items. She handed me a “special “ menu which stated each item contained gluten. She asked the manager about it and I was assured as long as you didn’t get the regular bun you were ok. The sandwich was delish! Couldn’t do the fries because the fryer is not a dedicated fryer. A substitute of a bag of chips would have been nice but that isn’t an option.
Most of the staff were super knowledgeable and I felt comfortable after I placed my order. The food was great. My only complaint is that the person who took the order didn’t warn me that one of the sauces wasn’t gluten free. The server told my husband when she delivered the food but I was away from the table and had already gotten the sauce. I felt like the person at the cashier should’ve been the one to warn me to stay away from the sauce since you go directly from ordering to getting the sauces yourself. Make sure you don’t get the pepper sauce (it’s made with beer).
This restaurant is located in Disney Springs near the Lime garage. There is an allergen list to look at and many sides that have gluten can be modified when asked. Knowledgeable staff and great food! I've had the half chicken with the tomato & watermelon salad...excellent! On a prior visit I've had the baby back ribs which was also very good. All the sauces are also gluten free.
