Review of The Purple Rooster Cafe

We met my parents here to celebrate my daughter's birthday - both my kids (8 and 10) are Celiac. When I told my son that he could order "ANYTHING" on the menu his eyes just about popped out of his head and his jaw dropped. The waitress was amazing - first question was if anyone had allergies. Love the kitchy-ness of the place: mis-matched mugs, old airline flatware - very fun.

My kids both had GF pancakes, a rare treat when eating out. They also split a tasty GF pumpkin/cinnamon chip muffin - we had to order a couple to take home! Our non-GF food was delicious, too. Plenty of hot coffee refills and they even had warm apple cider for the kids.

It's a 1/2 hour drive for me, an hour for my parents, and we will be meeting at the Purple Rooster Cafe again as soon as we can! My son already has it planned for his birthday in February (although I want to go before that!).
