We loved Red Dog Saloon! They took time to make sure my tacos were celiac safe. I was initially hesitant because how busy it was but ended up being a great meal! I’m very sensitive and feel great the next day!

Most of the tacos are GF. The corn tortillas are grilled on the same grill as flour tortillas. They will fry them separately if not busy. The fryer is usually GF but wasn’t when I went. Staff are very helpful.

This place is such a gem. While the menu isn’t labeled, it turns out the owner/chef is celiac and almost the whole menu is gf. The bartender was super knowledgeable, and the tacos were the best we had in the whole Palm Springs/JT area. Also highly rec the cucumber margarita ;) We came here to kill time while waiting for a table at Pappy & Harriet’s, and this place was so much better!

Worst experience ever!!! Heard that the chef here is celiac and that they were good with gluten free options and no cross contamination. Not so!! Talked to multiple people there about having celiac and they said that everything here was GF except the beef taco and that they knew about cross contamination. I ordered 2 tacos and when we got them it looked like a wrap or a flour tortilla. But they all said it was GF so I thought it was a GF wrap. I took a bite and thought something was wrong and went back to the window to check. He said yes, I marked celiac on your order and it’s GF. He showed me the tortilla package and the first ingredient was wheat flour!! He talked to the guy that prepared the food and he said he used a clean area. Neither of them knew that they should have used corn tortillas nor did the person taking the order. I’m now sick and feeling horrible. Never again for this place. Beware.

Beyond delicious food! Dedicated fryer so gf chips and CHURROS. Everything gf except flour tortillas (sub corn) and the brisket (marinated in beer). Order inside at the bar and pick up at the outside window. Lots of covered and uncovered tables outside. Bartender was gf and incredibly kind. Worth the detour!!

Confirmed - the chef is Celiac so gluten free accommodations are possible. The fryer is dedicated GF and so are the churros! The menu is limited but delicious.

This place was incredible. Tacos can be made gf in a corn tortilla. I’m unsure if the chips were fried with anything, but I ate them and felt fine. There weren’t any other fried items on the menu, so I’m assuming it was a dedicated fryer. REALLY cool little spot, highly recommend.
