I got ripped off here. You expect to overpay at a touristy place like this, but this was above and beyond. I truly felt like I fell for some kind of scam. I paid $40 for a short rib entree that was at most 3oz of meat. The side was a single small carrot cut into 4 pieces.
I can't comment on safety as I am asymptomatic. However, GF options were marked on the menu and the waitress was very helpful and made a note of my allergy for the kitchen.

Had lunch in the Tavern recently. My only gluten free choice was the soup of the day.

Will never go here again. Only salad on menu for gluten free. Waitress was not helpful in suggesting any options. She was downright rude. Actually left. Last year found options on menu for gluten free. Changed their menu and their attitude.

This is a beautiful, classy old inn. They do have gf bread, but expect to wait a long time for it. We waited 40 minutes, long after others had been served. Server not pleasant until tip time. Corn fennel soup was marked gf on the menu, but arrived well after the bread. My turkey sandwich arrived with out the stuffing, as requested, but the roll, and the bread were still a bit cold, even after all that time. Salad replaced the not gf fries with no extra charge. That said, it was delicious, as was my wife's salmon. The soup was just okay, but that's a matter of taste. Two dollar signs is definitely not enough for this place. More like four. $18 for the turkey sandwich, $23 for a fairly small portion of salmon. This was a lunch time meal. Plan to enjoy a wander about enjoy antiques and the inn itself while waiting for your food. I did not get sick.

They don't have a dedicated menu but they said they could make anything on the menu gluten free. The rolls were good. I played it safe and got a ceaser salad with salmon but it was clear of croutons. It's safe to try out.

Great experience for 2 freshly-diagnosed Celiac girls! We went for lunch and our server Omar was very accommodating to our needs. Instead of having a dedicated GF menu, we were told that nearly everything could be made gluten-free. We gave him our meal choices and then he consulted with the chef to confirm that the kitchen could make the appropriate adaptations. We were both able to get our first choice and the GF rolls were delicious. The food was excellent and the staff were both knowledgeable and thorough in making sure that our GF needs were met. Thank you Omar and the Red Lion team!

They seemed to know what they were talking about here regarding Celiac precautions when I spoke to the host & server, but I had the salt roasted beets, Arctic char, & panna cotta2 nights ago, and was sick later that evening, and still not fully recovered today. Thinking there had to be a cross-contamination issue. Food was very good though. Just not sure they're careful enough in their kitchen.

They don't have a dedicated GF menu, but the majority of the menu is GF, they have gluten free bread and 3 of their desserts are gluten free. I am also Dairy Free- and I had so many options! And the food is fantastic!
