Not a great place to eat for kids or young adults. The options are limited to seafood, salads and a steak. I ordered the steak and asked if they could substitute the side for a plain salad but said no. Not a dedicated fryer and sides are very limited. Felt fine after but I have had better experiences.

Ate here while visiting with my parents. Server was great. Items marked GF on menu. Am celiac and didn’t get sick had scallop dish and side of grits. Delicious. Sunset was amazing. Will definitely eat here again.

Yum. Yum. Get you some! The view is lovely and eating dinner with your toes in the sand (if you can snag a front table) is perfect. The sunsets here are perfect... And dinner was great. We shared shrimp to start, I had the grilled grouper with corn, cauliflower, spinach and tomato's and a side of gf cheese grits. No ill side affects and we plan on eating here again while on the island.

This place was amazing. Delicious dinner. Husband and I had drinks, raw oysters, a clam dish appetizer, scallops, etc. Yes there isn’t a gf bread or fries, but they mark their menu and there are plenty of wonderful seafood dishes and sides that are safe. The view is beautiful too, and drinks are great. It was very busy but staff was kind and helpful. A must visit.

They tried and failed ! I give two stars for even marking g/f items on their menu. And an additional star for having Tito’s ! The rest is an epic fail! The menu items are only g/f by nature ! No gf breads or options for even a French Fry ! Impatient server too!

Excellent dinner. I had tomato appetizer, salad and stone crabs. All GF and delicious. Waiter and manager were knowledgeable and felt comfortable with their assurance.

This is our second visit with pretty much the same results- the location is relaxed outdoor beachside and perfect for sunset viewing but drinks are mediocre and food is extremely disappointing for avg near $35-45 per person. We had to return one meal twice. GF steak and seafood options on menu. I agree with those who prefer the Waterfront Restaurant.

Perhaps there is a difference between sitting outside vs inside, or perhaps lunch vs dinner. We sat outside for lunch, the few gf items were mostly salads. The waiter noted the gf items were marked on the menu and had nothing else to say on the topic.

The salad I ordered had been made much earlier, consequently, the cucumber slices were dried out, and the greens were starting to wilt.

I did not have any problems afterwards.

Having eaten at this restaurant for numerous years before knowing that I needed to be gf, I was looking forward to eating there especially after reading the other reviews, but it didn't pan out for me the way I had hoped.

I'm gluten and dairy intolerant and very sensitive. I had scallop dish that is made with coconut milk, clarified with waitress my food issues and she checked with chef. Good meal and no reaction. Only 4 stars because waterfront restaurant was a better meal in anna Maria area.

The chef personally came out & checked with me. He created a special dessert as well. He said he has a family member with Celiac & totally understands. Not only is this a favorite destination, it is great to know they will work to make it happen. The Scallops were fabulous & the sauce was out of this world. Hard to get to because of the traffic but well worth it!
