Review of The Sanibel Sprout

Gluten Free, Organic and Vegan; all in a Funky Cafe on Sanibel Island. I was skeptical, because I am Celiac and I eat meat. However, I really wanted to support this business because they are completely GF. I ordered the Mexican Taco Salad with Walnut "taco meat" and cashew queso. I am so glad she is not using fake meat filled with sodium and chemicals! Strawberries and greens were incredibly fresh too. This salad was fantastic, filling, so fresh and reasonably priced. My friend, who can eat anything, was thrilled with her meal, she got the same thing and was so glad I "dragged" her in there. She lives on the island and will now be a regular. There were many fresh soups ready and steaming in tureens at the ordering counter; which smelled fantastic; but it was warm out so we passed on soups. We sat outside in the shade and enjoyed our meal. They knocked it outta the park folks! Great salad. Owner was fantastic, staff was friendly and her mom, who works the cash register, was so sweet. Neat, funky, atmosphere and also sell many health based items for sale like essential oils; etc. Place is tucked in the corner of the strip center, we did not see it at first..so don't give up, it is there..sign not very visible. Will definitely go back next time I am in town! Loved it.
