Wonderful experience! Best gluten free pancake we’ve ever had. Two kids with Celiac and had no issues eating here. Separate gluten free menu with a lot of options. We will make this a regular stop when we go to St. Louis.

Separate GF menu, which includes notes about gluten free protocol. The owner’s daughter has celiac disease so they are very understanding. Food was delish and came out with a “gluten free” flag.

Ordered a Reuben sandwich off the Gluten Free menu. Was very clear with the waitress that it should be gluten free. When I received the sandwich the bread did not look like gluten free so I asked if it was gluten free and was told yes it was. After taking two bites I still felt unsure about it being gluten free so waited for the actual waitress to come and again asked....is this gluten free...she initially said yes...but I had explained the bread was different than the norm....so she sighed and went to ask about it. Then came back and was told that it was in fact regular bread. Because this chain uses gluten free protocols as their business model this was very disappointing… Moral of the story, even at a restaurant that promises gluten free protocols ....don't trust it....trust your intuition which is what I should have done.

SO GOOD. I got the hash browns and the brussel & egg, both were delicious. They have dedicated skillets and fryers, and TONS of Gf options to choose from (with a dedicated GF menu). No reaction afterwards. Highly recommend!

Maybe I came here on an off day, but I wasn’t impressed with this place. It didn’t feel super clean in general. Our service wasn’t great. They have a gluten free menu, but I ordered the GF pancake and it was raw batter in the middle. The second one that came out was really dry. The waitress didn’t really seem to care that it was underdone, and it wasn’t comped. Definitely won’t be back, but the other reviews are so good, that maybe we just went on a bad day. I was really disappointed.

The shack is one of my favorite places to eat. Went their for breakfast this morning. Love that they will tell you if they can substitute something and you wont have to worry about a cross contact issue. The pancakes and skillets are so good. I just wish they would open up a Corner Pub closer.

Adding my praise for this restaurant - it is obvious they know how to prepare food safely for celiacs. The GF menu had many options, and my omelet was delicious. The waitress was so kind and understanding, and the food came out clearly marked GF. It was almost as easy as eating out pre-diagnosis, which is saying a lot!

They have a gluten free menu. GF meal is tagged with a little wooden GF stick and made separately. The food was soooo good for everyone! This place is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very good experience!! The GF pancake is just as good as I remember their regular pancakes being before I found out I can’t have gluten, and the egg and hash brown skillet I had was freaking DIVINE. The GF selection is of course more limited than their regular but still pretty varied. Very much recommend

All dishes are prepared in a different pan. The syrup even came out in a different shape! I sat at the bar and the bartenders were great and knowledgeable. Will come back when I’m here !

This place is awesome! Our waiter Brandon was top notch! The food was incredible! I ate with 6 family members and everyone raved about their breakfast. They have a separate GF menu with a great selection. I can’t say enough about being able to have gluten free pancakes while dining out. I will definitely be back to try something else!!

Great food. Always amazing. Best GF pancakes ever. Wait is super long on the weekends and they don’t allow you to call ahead but it’s so good that I keep going. Their sister restaurant is next door and also tasty. Just no breakfast there. They seem to really care about GF and always able to answer questions.
Great GF choices and a special GF part of the kitchen. I love the chocolate chip pancakes.

Wonderful menu and options! Large portions at great prices! The same owners have Corner Pub and Grill. My husband got the king lives pancake & it was incredible! I got the smoke em while you got em & it was very good! Planning to go again!

Food was phenomenal and the staff was very knowledgeable. It’s nice to see so many options on the gluten free menu. The food was so good and the atmosphere is really fun too. Wish I lived around here because I’d get this again and again!

Food is amazing! We went for breakfast, did the blueberry pancake (huge). They offer all the standard breakfast meats plus chicken sausage, fruit bowls, smoothies, yogurts, and more. I have celiac and did not get sick. The coffee is also really good
This place was terrific! Had a full gluten free menu and the cucumber vodka for my Bloody Mary was gluten free as well. Definite do-over!
Great and safe place for people with Celiacs to eat. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and careful.

Loved this spot for quick lunch as we headed to St.Louis. Girls LOVED their giant GF pancakes and GF BLT with French fries. GF dedicated fryer. Great atmosphere. Staff and kitchen well trained to provide GF safe food for celiacs. One of my girls is extremely sensitive and had no problems. Our non-celiac family members very much enjoyed their meals too. Thanks to owners for your offerings and training others to take GF safety seriously. Will definitely visit next time we are traveling through!

Unfortunately, I have to lower my normal rating for The Shack. They used to have so many choices for gluten free but they seem to be paring down their gf menu. No peanut butter, no steak and egg breakfast, no corn tortilla for breakfast tacos. Just seems like they could have some extra items that wouldn't cost that much but would allow more options. Used to be so fun to come here. Still feel safe eating here but let's go back to more options, please. .

The shack’s owners have a daughter with celiac. They have a separate GF menu. Just ask for it at the host station. They cook anything ordered gluten free on a dedicated cook station. Everything we’ve gotten is delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch, but only breakfast on Sundays.

Love the pancakes. They are literally the size of a dinner plate. They mark them so they don’t get mixed with normal ones
