They do it all here! I found out I was a celiac this past summer and there were so many treats I had given up on. I had the chicken and waffles, a slice of cookies and cream cake, and a delicious IPA to wash it all down. And it was all gluten free!! Check this place out if you are in town. Great food selection, great vibe, great people.

So many delicious options to choose from. I got fries, a mini chicken pot pie, and a piece of cookies and cream cake. And they were TO DIE FOR. The serving sizes were pretty big too.

Celiac safe! It's a wonderful feeling to eat with no worries of cross contamination. Most dedicated gf places are bakeries or cafe's. I love that The Silly Axe has so many delicious real food options! And their name with a play on words - just fantastic! Happy Celiac here!

Thrilled to have a gluten free restaurant in town! So many good offerings! The Fat Axe sandwich is one of my favorites. When I tried the fried chicken I couldn’t believe it was gluten free; I haven’t had anything like it in years! I have to hoard the chocolate cake from my non-celiac family members 😂 It’s so well balanced and doesn’t compensate for gluten by overuse of sugar. You can also enjoy a gluten free adult beverage with your meal. I’m really impressed by this place!

This place is a Celiac’s dream! There’s even a sign at the door saying no outside food or drinks. There were so many choices, and I felt giddy knowing I could order whatever I wanted. It was all delicious. If I lived if Louisville I would probably be here every week.

So happy they could accommodate all 3 of our allergies. They had several dairy & soy free options including apple pie & chocolate cake for dessert, corn dogs, sandwiches, chicken strips, fries. Staff was very friendly.

Great because its completely gluten friendly. However, the food wasn’t on par with the price. Also, I’ve seen the owner all over this app talking poorly about other restaurants and it comes off very unprofessional.

Unbelievably good. This place is the only dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Louisville. Food was delicious. They have a bar out front with gluten free ciders and brews. Went there in the fall and they had great pumpkin ciders. Fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Husband and wife operators — opened it in spring 2019. He works the bar, she the kitchen. Go here!

Completely safe, dedicated gluten free, and every bite was delicious. We had fried calamari, cheese quesadilla, hot brown, lasagna, and a fried chicken sandwich. Everything was perfection.

Went back for dessert - strawberry banana pudding, chocolate cake, and bread pudding. Such a good find.

What a wonderful place to go for a allergy friendly meal. Sandwiches were so big you could split them. They made fresh sweet potato fries just for my daughter because they has a potato in back to use. We loved this place and will be back.

The food here was amazing. I felt good as soon I got to the front door and saw that no outside food or beverages were allowed specifically to avoid cross-contamination. The cashier asked me what dietary restrictions I had (since they are also nut and dairy free). I also got to drink a draft beer for the first time in 7 years! I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Louisville.

Awesome place for weary Celiacs. Great salads, best gf chicken tenders, and an amazing gluten free bar and drink selection, maybe the best we've ever seen.

4 stars for all gf. Food was ok. Tried hot brown sandwich it was ok. Heard someone get the lasagna and they had to heat it up themselves with the microwave on the counter. They were plenty busy with lots of new people coming in. Tried the oatmeal cream cookies and would not buy it again.

I suggest The Fat Axe, it is filling and well portioned as well as good. They have a variety of gf ciders on tap. Silly Axe is gluten free, nut free, and lactose free! Lots of seating options, parking is limited additional parking in back (if you can find a spot). Lots of side/grab and go options to pick from.

This place is AMAZING. They have so many different options, and the whole place is a dedicated gluten free cafe. We got sandwich’s and they were very good and very filling. The whoopie pies are also very good, I would recommend this place!

Dedicated GF! It’s SO nice to know no one is going to leave sick after we eat! The food was amazing, the staff was very knowledgeable, they cater to other allergies as well, and Chef Angela cooked our food as we ordered. A bit pricey, but large portions and totally worth the piece of mind.

Cute area. Nice looking cafe with games for patrons to play. Clever name. Staff was nice too. Vegan tacos aka bean tacos were good. “American” style but still good. Great tap of country boy raspberry lemon cider. Got a whoppi pie to go that was the best I’ve ever had. I also got potato wedges and they were deliciously spicy. Overall great experience.

The only place I feel is safe enough to eat now. But not only that it's amazing! Comfort food at its finest! And the owner is a chef so the food is absolutely delicious! She always mixes things up and keeps the menu exciting. I can't say enough about this place.

My new very favorite eatery! Soooo delicious, sweet & knowledgable owners, & totally safe. Love the pick up case & the rotating menu. Dishes are creative. I’ve never in 7 years eating gf had so much great stuff to choose from. Lots of options if you’re eating AIP or keto or such, too, btw. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Feel normal again. Able to eat anything I want without having to interrogate the staff. The hot brown sandwich was amazing!! Bought a whoopie pie for breakfast tmrw that I can eat while family (non-CD) eat hotel waffles.

Everything is GF!!! Lactose free and vegetarian options, too!!! Great little spot. Food has been excellent. Owners are super nice. They have a daily menu that changes up as well as a build your own sandwich menu. All kinds of ciders, hard seltzers, and a local GF beer can be found at the bar. So glad to finally have a dedicated GF restaurant in the neighborhood!!!
