We went for brunch, where a cocktail is included in your meal! I loved the shrimp and grits….so good!

I went here based on reviews and was not disappointed! The waiter pointed everything gf out on the menu and the manager came to my table as well to go through everything! The vodka pasta was amazing! Gluten free fry’s as well! The salad was okay though! Everything came out with red flags to ensure gluten free! No reaction!

The staff was knowledgeable and said that they are a scratch kitchen and most items are naturally gluten free or could be made gluten free. Great apps and meal

Amazing, food came out marked for allergy, they didn't have gf buns like it says on here so I was disappointed but i was quickly cheered up with steak and garlic mashed potatoes.

So great! Gluten free items are marked. The manager came out to talk to us about the allergy procedure and let us know that the head chef would personally take care of our allergy orders. Our food came out with a little red flag and the food runner also let us know it was gluten free. Also the fries were gf and absolutely amazing!!

Great experience! The manager was very knowledgeable and made sure to explain the whole process to ensure I got a safe meal. They have allergy indicator flags.

The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac. The gluten free meal (gf pasta dish boiled in separate water) came out with a red flag as proof that the chef was aware of celiac and took precautions. They also recommended a safe dessert, homemade blackberry sorbet. All the food was delicious.

I was recently dx with celiac / less than a year ago at age 40. I have been vary cautious due to serious sensitivity - I have not dined out at restaurants with gluten since dx and have an entirely gf house bc of how sensitive I am / determined to heal .
I went to the smith bc there are multiple locations in NYC that have always been great with my nut allergy (I carry an epipen). Despite being nervous I had a great meal and no cc response hooray. Eric the manager was lovely and kind when checking in . Enjoy some good eats at the smith

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! GF pastas available and take cross contamination very seriously. Manager even came over and explained the entire kitchen process to me without me even asking. Great food, drinks and staff!

I went here tonight with someone who has celiacs. The restaurant had a GF menu and when she ordered the GF option, the waiter asked if preference or allergy. Once she identified as an allergy, the waiter said he got it and food may take a bit longer. Then the manager came out, went over their steps to ensure safety, and said her food would have a red flag denoting GF. The food was all delicious and seemed very safe.

We had an excellent experience! Ellen was very knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free safety, and the manager Chris came out to assure me of everything they did to keep me safe. We had the pressed chicken (best chicken skin I’ve ever had!!), the spaghetti Bolognese with gluten free penne, and the burritos as an appetizer. Ellen even brought my daughter a cookie with a candle in it when she found out we were celebrating her 16th birthday! 10/10

An amazing experience overall! Server was extremely knowledgeable about the GF options and asked me after I mentioned gluten if it was celiac or a sensitivity. After I ordered the GF pasta and a salad the manager came over to me and personally assured me about cross contamination practices and their flagging system. The atmosphere was great and food was delicious. They even had a GF beer!

Server was well versed about Celiac and cross contamination. He also checked multiple times with the kitchen just to be sure about safety without me even having to ask and didn’t make me feel like a burden. I had delicious salmon and a dirty martini. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Gf items are marked on the menu and they also offer gf pasta. I got the vodka pasta with gluten free noodles and my dish came out with a marker on it for gf. I came back another time and got the salmon which was AMAZING. Also came out with an allergy flag on it. They have very knowledgable staff that takes allergies seriously! Great place to come with friends or co workers. Very lively ambiance but not super loud.

Felt extremely comfortable eating here. Server was very knowledgeable and did not hesitate to check on GF status. After I ordered, the chef came out to double check. All of the staff were very proud of the ways they accommodate allergies. All celiac safe items were marked with a red flag. Choices were a bit limited, I had an excellent steak and sautéed baby spinach. Bummed that the smashed potatoes were prepared at the pastry station, so they were a no go. Also, they had fabulous looking desserts, but none were GF (except ice cream).

They are quite knowledgeable and accommodating. Your food comes out with a red allergy flag and waitstaff and managers are diligent in checking. That being said, quite limited options and I would say overpriced for what you get (but that's River North, right?)

Went here for a work lunch and got the gluten free vodka pasta. It was one of those times where I was shocked at how good the pasta was and couldn’t believe it was GF. Staff was super knowledgeable and helpful. Would 100% come again!

They make sure the manager talks to you and put red flags in everything that is safe. Delicious food.
When I came back with my teens who are celiacs who do not like a good steak as I do I realized how limited the selection is. Also we got a different waiter who quite frankly seemed pissed off to be serving celiacs however he did double check everything!!

I had the gluten free vodka pasta and it was so good, I didn’t get sick and I had the leftovers for dinner. I went with a group of coworkers but I messed up the reservation date, they were still able to accommodate us during the lunch rush and the service was prompt. I imagine they have other items that can be made gluten free but I saw the gluten free pasta option on the menu and wanted to order quickly so I did not ask about other options.

Fun, nice place to eat! The location is perfect because it’s on a street that is dedicated for restaurant seating (no cars!), so it’s a fun atmosphere/area. Has an okay selection of celiac safe options. Loved the oysters, shrimp cocktail, and enjoyed the salmon. All of my dishes came out with a red flag on them, marking my gluten allergy. They also have gf pasta available!

I also have an allergy to alliums so I spoke to the server about gluten free and my allergy and he wrote everything down and brought over his manager to talk over the menu. We decided on a steak with a mixed greens salad! Super delicious. Would come here again!

They put red flags in your food if you have an allergy so you know the kitchen prepared your food safety and they have the chef come up to you :) if your food comes back without a red flag you’re told not to eat it. Amazing food with lots of options. All the pasta can be made gluten free without cross contact

Very limited options here for someone with celiac. The waiter directed me to the salad options as the only things to eat. Manager came over to remind me to only eat foods on the table with a red flag they put in it. Annoying and poor experience
