After reading the reviews, I was excited to eat here today. After explaining that I have Celiac, I ordered the OG Fried Rice, minus the chicken (I don't eat meat). Ate it and now I'm sick. Definitely was glutened. This is only time I've dined out since being in town. Heading to the store to pick up charcoal capsules now.
Great options, menu is marked and they still notify the kitchen. Not just GF options, but healthy and balanced options and portion sizes, and even seemed to not be over salted like a lot of takeout. Great environment and service too. If I hadn’t been at lunch during a conference I probably would have gotten a mimosa flight.
Wonderful experience! Lots of options that are GF without any subs. Staff still made a note to prevent cross contamination. Food was amazing, staff was super friendly, and the drinks were so yummy! Even got a piece of raspberry fudge cake to go and that was incredible. Definitely going back here before I fly home!
Food was delicious! I had the gf ramen soup on ramen Wednesdays, my son whom is also celiac had the scrambled eggs, and his best friend whom is not celiac had a meaty sandwich. They got a chance to eat freshly cooked popcorn with some delicious seasonings. We ended it with a gf peanut butter cookie that tasted great! The water here is delicious too!
We notified the staff of our Celiacs and they were aware of precautions to take to keep us safe. There was a little bIt more limited menu for my son then myself, but we both found food to enjoy. I have the Eggs Ranchos Huevos and he has pork Carnitas over salad because there wasn’t another gluten free option.
This is a unique restaurant with a hipster vibe that focuses on “healthy soul food”. They are in the Selden Market in Downtown. On their menu, they label the various GF options available such as Miso Beef Bibimbap, the Chifrijo Bowl (kind of like a Mexican pork rice bowl), and a variety of interesting salads. I got the GF brown fried rice (they used a tamari-ginger sauce) and it was full of bright veggies and topped with kimchi and 2 fried eggs (I opted for no egg). It was super crispy and delicious. To top it off, they offered GF peanut butter cookies and GF chocolate walnut cookies for ONLY $2. Will definitely be back! Great service too.
