UPDATE: reduced rating to 1 star because I was glutened here recently. They've been growing and now they have some poorly trained staff instead of just the owner and his son. They had a new menu item - a chocolate chip cookie dough dairy free ice cream. It was labeled gluten free on their menu. I confirmed with the employee that it was gluten free and proceeded to order it on a gluten free cone. We hung around outside and finished our ice cream. The owner was playing host outside instead of running the business. Just as we were about to leave he got a phone call and ran into the store and told his employees that the cookie dough ice cream was not gluten free. I was shocked. I confronted him and he said that it was a new flavor and they didn't know if it was gluten free or not and they were waiting on a callback from the creamery. I told him that the menu said it's gluten free and his staff is saying it is. A simple "we don't know" would have been fine and I would have ordered something else. He was apologetic, but that wasn't enough. This was totally avoidable and has proven that they don't really handle gluten properly. I suffered for days because of this. I won't be returning, which is unfortunate for both of us because I was a regular.

TL;DR Glutened me by saying an ice cream was gluten free when they really didn't know and were in the process of finding out. They don't take gluten seriously.
