Unsure, it was recommend by locals and food was good but I think I just ate a fried flour tortilla. I took one bite and went back in to confirm the hard shell was a corn tortilla. My stomach has blown up and in sure of future. Kids loved it and said best tacos they have ever had. It was just really busy, loud, long wait so we did a to go order.
So glad I stopped in here! Sat upstairs on the bar facing the beach- fantastic view and people watching. I asked the waitress about the chips (if they’re fried by themselves), and she said yes, but then came back and told me she checked and one of the fryers is down, so the chips weren’t safe. I ordered 3 tacos- carnitas, mushroom, and beef short rib w/ kimchi. Carnitas were average, the mushrooms and the sauce on that one was really good, and the short rib was strange and fantastic... my favorite of the 3. The tacos are definitely overpriced, but you’re really paying that extra money for the tourist spot and atmosphere, since it’s not street tacos. Overall, I’d definitely come back here.
What an awesome meal we had! Nester was the best server ever. Very knowledgeable about the menu and what my daughter could have with her food allergies. The short rib meat was to die for super tasty and tender! Novelty frozen margarita that they serve in an actual pineapple was amazing. The only thing you can have as a celiac we’re the corn tortilla tacos
The flavors were awesome. I had a mahi taco, a carnitas taco and a shrimp taco. Loved them all. The waiter said I could have any of the tacos (on soft corn shells) or the salads. But really you also can’t have the deep fried meats (labeled with DF). The hot sauces were also all GF. The location is great for people watching and the music creates a pleasant Mexican atmosphere.
