The only GF option for breakfast was toast. I asked about fruit and was told that I could get it from the buffet. As I don't trust the buffet to be free from cross contamination (you only need one person to use a tong on everything or one person to drip breadcrumbs), I requested from the back. The only reason I didn't put 1 star was that the ambience was amazing--it was like eating in a beautiful garden.
I came here with my 2 1/2 year old daughter for afternoon tea service and it exceeded my expectations! So many places need reservations, or don’t have gf options, or don’t want toddlers :). We were staying here anyways, so I should’ve started with them. The space is gorgeous, and the service was very accommodating. The scones and bread were nothing exceptional, but the mini desserts were delightful! And, ya know, clotted cream. Need I say more?Definitely keep this place in mind if you don’t want to pay £60 and make a reservation days in advance at Fortnum and Mason.
