Staff were really unsure. They were clear that there was not any gluten free options for kids. No dedicated fryer. No other options to suggest what we might order there even through there were a few items marked GF on the menu. We didn’t stay.

I told the waiter I was celiac with dairy and nut allergies. I opted for a "heathfood salad" with modifications. I was a quarter of the way through when I realized there was faro in the salad! I was offered a new salad, but declined as they had lost my trust. The waiter and manager both apologized, but who cares? I am sick now and may lose my entire long weekend or more! Saying "my bad", however sincerely, won't make up for what this has and will cost me.

My son and I are celiac. We had a lovely time. The food was excellent. I emailed ahead and was told separate fryer for fries (my son is a teen and thought a great idea to get fries). The waiter said that if we are ‘real’ celiacs that we shouldn’t eat out of the fryer. I appreciated his honesty, as I’d hate to be sick! I got the salmon and he got the sturgeon… both were fabulous! We also shared a pavlova … it was very spectacular! Menu clearly marked GF. Neither of us got sick. I would recommend but confirm celiac when ordering

We contacted them via email prior to our visit. They will clean and set aside a dedicated fryer upon request. Super helpful kitchen staff and friendly service. Safe food handling. Delicious seafood, family friendly, affordable happy hour specials, gorgeous view!

My review for this restaurant feels super mixed, to be honest. On a recent work trip to Vancouver, this was the only meal where I picked the restaurant and I could eat the food. The host was super-knowledgeable and explained the menu markings. And the food was good, if a bit underseasoned, as I had to ask them to leave off the sauce (butter-based, and I'm lactose-intolerant). They do have an excellent selection of seafood options, all incredibly fresh and all gluten-free.
However, our service was utterly terrible, to the point that another waiter had to cash us out because our waiter was nowhere to be found. Our waiter did not deliver our food nor confirm that my order could be made gluten, dairy, and egg-free (the runner acknowledged that it was the "allergy-safe" plate, so there was that). It did very much adversely affect my experience of the restaurant, to the point that I would not personally go back.
It does not seem as though this is the standard service at this restaurant, so if you're up in Granville Market in Vancouver, consider trying this place if you like seafood?
Clearly marked GF items including desserts. They did a great job in the sockeye salmon I ordered & they understand GF

GF items clearly marked on the menu. Good cocktails. Had the fried squid (it's filets, not calamari bodies and tentacles) and it was delicious! SO and I split the chef's choice of 3 market fish and the scallops. All cooked perfectly and delicious. 0 signs of sickness.
Was surprised I could get anything Gluten free on Granville Island. Chose the seafood chowder for a quick lunch. Delicious!!! They have Gluten free menu and are happy to modify most things.
