On safety—We will wipe down all surfaces and get clean knives and gloves. We do do a lot of baking at the cafe so there is always the chance of cross contamination, but we do our very best.

I went to the roost and got the hungry hen, and the next day I woke up sick. Too bad because the food is amazing.

Hi Emily, we were never a dedicated gluten free establishment, it is only our fryer that is no longer gluten free . We are always happy to talk to our customers about gluten free options, we hope to see you again!

Ordered a breakfast burrito on a GF wrap and it was great, but I'm very new to having celiac so I'm not sure how safe it was. Asked about avoiding cross-contamination and was told they couldn't guarantee, but would try their best. I had to leave the French fries off the burrito because they said they don't have a dedicated GF fryer.

I asked the cashier what was safe for people with celiac and she quickly explained what they could make and how they would take precautions for cross contamination. She said there’s always a possibility (which we all know!) but I felt very comfortable. I got a breakfast burrito on a gf wrap and it was delicious! They have a dedicated fryer too so I was able to get the French fries in the burrito! Amazing food. Will be back!

The local Buffalo chicken wings with housemade ranch were phenomenal, perfect spice. So nice to be able to have poutine, but it was lacking a bit of salt.

We visited The Village Roost during our ski weekend for a snack in town. I ordered French fries to go and they were deliciously crispy and perfectly cooked. Very friendly and knowledgeable regarding GF food. We ended up staying to eat because we loved the relaxing atmosphere!
