Great restaurant just across the road from the beach and a lovely pier. All gluten free options are marked clearly on the menu and the owner of the restaurant is Coeliac so the waitress and kitchen were very knowledgeable about gluten free options and cross contamination. I had the shrimp (on the menu it says fried however they did them grilled to be GF) which was delicious. Highly recommend! We did have to wait for a table but definitely worth the wait and can wait in their bar or go for a drink at the end of the pier.
Had a blackened grouper sandwich on what the waitress described was an Udi bun, but lucky for me it was much better (still very obviously gluten free). Our waitress was very knowledgable and offered that the fries are coated and therefore not GF- even before I had to ask! I had the pineapple coleslaw. It was delicious!
Many GFO (gluten free options) labeled on menu. The owner has celiacs. Got fish tacos and carnitas tacos. They were both amazing. The chocolate flourless tort for dessert was also “SO good.” They also had a creme brûlée that was gluten free for dessert but we didn’t get it.
Run, don’t walk, to this amazing restaurant!! The owner has celiac so the front desk staff told me it’s THE place to go for gf options and gosh was she right! The menu was clearly marked and the waiter was very knowledgeable. I had the shrimp ans grits…. And OMG…. It was amazing! Then, after I enjoyed every single bite of it, since it was vacation after all, I asked if they had any gf deserts. 58 my surprise they had TWO. I chose the crème brûlée and it was everything I had hoped for. My gluten eating friends also loved every bite they ate. This restaurant deserves five stars in this app and Yelp! Thank you for helping make gf safe food amazing for us!
Fantastic, amazing, delicious! I had jerk shrimp and pineapple coleslaw and have been dreaming of it ever since. We plan to go back and try other things and the drinks too. Menu is clearly marked with what is gluten free and what has gluten free options. They were also very friendly and understanding when our twin toddlers started acting up- we asked for the food to be wrapped up so we could rush out of there and they were instantly accommodating!
I absolutely loved this place. Perfect for a date night. Food was delicious, menu specially curated, ingredients fresh, staff friendly and knowledgeable, and atmosphere lovely. Oh, and let’s not forget cocktails. I had smoked margarita that had the most perfect slice of fresh ginger in it 🐟🍤
There are more options than what’s on the menu. Our waiter was amazing. He told us celiac runs in the owner’s family so they “have us covered.” It’s so great to get a knowledgeable and supportive response from a restaurant. My daughter wanted GF chicken Alfredo (not on the menu) and he pulled that together. Waitstaff was great both times we went and food was delicious. Highly recommend!
When we arrived, we asked about gluten free options and the hostess Joy shared with us that the owners have celiac disease and are highly conscientious about food preparation. The kitchen staff would change gloves and prepare my food away from any contaminants.
I ordered the catch of the day, blackened grouper. The dish came with a vegetable and a starch. I chose a caesar salad without croutons and mashed potatoes. The salad had fresh, shaved parmesan and the dressing was light and tangy. The fish was cooked and seasoned to perfection and was buttery and flaky. The potatoes were roughly mashed and chock full of tasty little pork belly pieces. Absolutely decadent!
Of course, the acid test is how my body reacts. I did not get sick. I would've been very surprised and disappointed if I had. Kudos to the staff.
If we lived in the area, I would weigh a metric ton, so back to the Midwest I go!
The owners have celiac so most of the menu is gluten free or can be modified to be gluten free. I ordered the pasta primavera and a cesar salad, gluten free. They both were so good. We plan to go back again this week.
My daughter is celiac and extremely sensitive. They took us seriously here and my daughter had no problems. Note that the owner has celiac too. Thank you to the management for keeping people like my daughter safe.
Oh my goodness! We had lunch here and it was spectacular. All GF items are marked (GFO) on menu and there are a ton of choices. The waitress mentioned one of the owners (I think?) has celiac, so they’re very good at keeping the food safe. We are here for 2 weeks and will go back as much as we can!
We were drawn to this restaurant because of its extensive gluten free options. My 8 yo daughter is celiac and it is tricky finding places she can safely eat. We were very happy with the decision. We ordered three entrees for my husband and I and three kids (6, 8, and 10.) We decided to get everything entirely gluten free so that we could share with all of us. The staff was very knowledgeable about this and lead us through the modifications. We ordered a shrimp plate (modification: grilled rather than fried, and mashed potatoes instead of fries), a rib eye steak, and a burger (modification: GF Udi's bun, nicely toasted.) Everything was happily consumed, with the most popular dish being the steak. All three kids now proclaim themselves steak lovers - we decided to overlook the catsup they used on it! My son, who typically won't touch any GF substitutes, didn't even realize he was eating a GF bun on his burger and started to get worried for his sister! All in all, a great dining experience. PS the kids knew they were in a great place when they were handed Wiki Stix instead of crayons for before dinner entertainment!
Staff were very knowledgeable and menu is clearly marked. They have three different ciders, the grouper taco appetizer was delish and I’m not actually a fan of fish usually. The lobster topped grouper made my husband very happy and I loved the warm kale salad with scallops added. We sat at the bar bc the wait fir a table was really long. Make a reservation ahead or plan to go early enough to wander or have a drink while you wait. I promise it’s worth it.
Best food we had while on AMI! Ate here twice on our vacation. Loved that GF options were clearly marked! Our server was delightful and very knowledgeable. My daughter and I are gluten-sensitive, not Celiac. I do wish they’d had more GF dessert options, but they’re right by Two Scoops ice cream so that problem was solved easily!
Many gluten free options. Staff was very helpful. The gluten free frutti di mare was excellent. The rest of my family, not gluten free, had excellent meals as well. While we waited for our table we walked along the beach. The view from their patio while we ate was perfect at sunset.
