After reading previous reviews, we asked about the pizza. It is a gluten free crust but is cooked in same oven as other pizza so no go. The manager came to speak to us and let us know what could be ordered that is celiac safe before we even sat down. Waitress was knowledgeable and even double check sandwich bun after we received our food. Manager also came over to check to make sure everything was ok. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips, turkey club in GF bun with a Caesar salad for the side. (Fries are cooked in shared fryer). Food was delicious ( I ordered a haddock sandwich-non celiac- and it was delicious too), service was fast and attentive but it was a bit pricey.
There is a separate gluten free menu. Nearly all the burgers and sandwiches are available on the GF menu, 10 salads, GF pizzas and many apps including grilled wings. They clearly note on the menu that it is a shared fryer...so instead the sandwiches come with carrots / celery. I had a burger and the bun was toasted and the burger was absolutely delicious. I do not know how they make the pizzas in comparison to where they make standard pizzas...be sure to ask about cross contamination if ordering pizza.
They've got gluten free pizzas, and a dedicated gluten free menu, however, our waitress said that cross contamination is something that they can't control for, and their sister(celiacs) was a former employee and they will not eat here.
Notes:
- gluten free beer
- no dedicated gluten free fryer
- gluten free menu
That being said, they have multiple gluten free beers for options, and our waitress was knowledgeable on celiacs.
Great place to come for a drink.
We ordered takeout for five people, two GF. One GF order was made correctly, a second had a non-GF bun, and a third order (which wasn't supposed to be GF) was labeled as GF but actually wasn't.
I don't know that I've ever seen a GF order mangled so thoroughly.
To top it off, the food wasn't all that good.
