Not for celiac folks. Same grill but will clean it and do their best. They came out to tell me about risk of cross contamination which I really appreciated. They are aware it’s not for everyone. Went to breakfast and was hopeful but left hungry. Good for those that are just GF, not celiac

Lovely, quaint cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff with a mix of travelers and regular customers. We ate breakfast and had the best gluten-free French toast I've ever had (even homemade)!

I didn’t get glutened, but I DID get food poisoning. It hit me a few hours after I ate there and it was the first thing I had that day. I was sick all day and night. Pretty sure it was the eggs.

Loved this place. French toast and avacado omelette are gluten free and delicious. Guess you can never go wrong with Charleston food.
We came here after seeing the reviews from fellow celiacs. However after talking to our waiter we were told they use the same cook top for gluten and non gluten items and that they “do their best” to keep it separate. They also told us they use shared toasters with gluten. I figured I would just get a smoothie after hearing all that….however after inquiring about the oat milk they use in their smoothies, I found out that it too is not gluten free. I wasn’t able to safely get anything and left empty handed. I do not recommend for celiacs.

We had the strawberry and goat cheese french toast and it was phenomenal! We also got two other egg scramble entrées. It's a great place for a healthy and delicious breakfast or lunch.

Understood celiac and said everything would be separate. There was a wait which they were upfront with. The French toast was delicious. They also had gf pancakes and toast. Cute place just loud inside with the crowd and music.

Had the GF French toast and had no problems. Waitress seemed aware of cross contamination as she mentioned the grits were not labeled and could have some cross contamination. Food was really really good!

I read the reviews about the French toast egg mix. We were the first ones there at 7:30 when they opened so there was no cross contamination. I had the Strawberry, Whipped Cream and Goat cheese Challah French Toast it was so good! I was worried it wasn’t GF because it was a large slice of bread and had sesame seeds on it but it was. I didn’t have any reaction.

The first time my daughter was glutened was at this restaurant today. The waitress seemed confident in the gluten free options and even wrote "celiac" on her notepad for the kitchen. My daughter got the kids pancakes with a side of fruit and fresh squeezed apple juice. She started reporting she didn't feel well about an hour after that and then the vomiting started a few hours later. The food was delicious, but I would not recommend for celiacs and will not be back.

French toast is not gluten free— it is dipped in same batter as gluten bread. Sorry to those of you who ate it!! Knowledgeable workers. I said “I have celiac” and they made delicious strawberry pancakes for me without cross contamination. Best I’ve ever had.

A hidden gem! We got the Carolina Scramble & the strawberry French toast with whipped cream & goat cheese. Both were so delicious! They also have dairy free cheese & gf bread available! Would go back! No gf menu but staff was knowledgeable.

The gluten free pancakes were amazing. I got them with strawberry and blueberries and they didn’t need butter or syrup. Good texture/consistency. All items can be made gluten free or with gluten free substitutes. The staff was helpful with helping me make decisions on what to eat and what was safe.

The staff was great working with me to make sure I could eat the GF items because I have other food allergies I need to check. They brought out the items so I could read the ingredients of the GF items. The pancake batter was a no go but the bread I was able to eat and it was the best GF bread I have had so far which is Hill Top Hearth brand. They even let me take a picture of the bread information so I could find on my own. Finally, they brought me jelly for my toast and I asked if there was corn syrup in it and they brought me the jar and of course there is. I can't have dairy either so butter was not possible. That being said, the waitress was thinking of something else I could use and she mentioned honey which I could have and it was really good on my GF bread. I will be going back because they went out of their way to make sure I could eat something on the menu.

Great but breakfast. Everything could be made GF, and everything we tried was delicious. GF pancakes and waffles are always a treat. Service was pretty slow so be prepared to be leisurely.

I ate here with my kiddos and we loved this cute little cafe. They have gluten free bread and pancakes. We ordered the gluten free French toast for my daughter with celiac and as they brought it out I confirmed it was gluten free. The lady bringing our food said yes but it is dipped in the same batter as the gluten bread and wouldn’t be good for a person with celiac. They very kindly took away the French toast and made my daughter pancakes. Our server didn’t know cross contamination was an issue so if you’re celiac steer clear of the French toast which is a bummer cause we were looking forward to it after reading reviews on here!!!! But the gluten free pancakes were delicious.

This is such a cute restaurant, great service and delicious food options. The menu is really large but there isn’t a separate GF menu or markings on the menu. I asked about a couple specific options before making my order decision. They can make GF French toast or GF pancakes. The omelettes are GF. I had the pork sausage scramble (mushrooms, onion, tomato, sausage, cheese) with breakfast potatoes and didn’t get sick afterwards. I had my waitress inquire into a few ingredients and she was happy to do so for me.
Really big menu so my hubby (who isn’t GF) was happy with the options he had too.

Excellent only begins to describe this wonderful little gem, I had the gluten free cinnamon apple French toast. You won't see it on the menu because they are gracious enough to make special items as long as they have ingredients. My wife had gluten free banana pancakes, no problems. Great staff most definitely worth seeking out this hidden gem.
Amazing gluten free pancakes. I double checked with the waitress to make sure they were gluten free because they were so good.
Yes
We ate breakfast here two mornings in a row! They have GF bread that makes incredible French toast. I also had the smoked salmon and goat cheese omelette. The flavor add ins for the coffee are GF, and they have fresh juices that my friend said were delicious! Staff is very knowledgeable!

Great options for gf. I'm also df, and can still get a great omelette and breakfast potatoes.

Gluten free pancakes were out of this world. The gluten free bread was so good that I had to ask and make sure I didn’t poison myself.
Yes
Adorable restaurant! Unfortunately, the GF pancakes and french toast are not dairy-free :( but the GF bread is OUTTA THIS WORLD! They also carry dairy-free cheese. I had the Carolina scramble with homefries and fresh pear juice. It was amazing! They were very informed and made it very easy to navigate the menu. Highly recommend!!!
The have gf pancakes!!
Very easy to eat GF here. Very tasty too.
