Their Gluten Free bread is absolutely delicious!!!! It’s definitely the best I have ever had. The guy that helped me even told me would get a clean knife to cut my bread. This is a must try!!!!

The gluten free bread here is delicious, but I was pretty much yelled at when I asked (nicely, of course) for a separate knife to cut the bread and to make the sandwich on clean paper. I was told very clearly to not eat here if I was intolerant to gluten. Why offer gluten free bread if you are not willing to make small changes like a clean knife??

First time I was able to eat at Thundercloud in 15 years. GF bread seemed very fresh and I was asked if I required separate cutting board and knife.

No... Yes, they have gf bread, but they have no idea about anything else...turkey, bacon, mayo, etc!

Celiac here. Been going to this thundercloud for 6+ months now, excellent choice for sandwiches. Individually packed GF bread is always available, and the staff knows how to handle an allergy. They will change gloves, cutting boards, knives, and use fresh ingredients. I go here 3 times a week and I’ve never been glutened!!

They had GF bread, on top of allergy. Bread was a little dry bc it came from the fridge and wasn’t heated up, but sandwich was safe

Service was excellent! Delicious gluten free hoagie bun for sandwiches. Precautions taken: clean gloves, new knife, work surface washed, new clean cutting board used.

I’ve been very impressed with Thundercloud’s knowledge of what’s GF and what isn’t! I’ll mention I need my sandwich on a GF bun and they’ll immediately change their gloves, get a new cutting board, move to a designed area and make my sandwich first or have a designed person make it if I’m ordering with a group. It’s wonderful I don’t need to mention Celiac, they simply understand to take appropriate precautions.

Not all staff are knowledgeable about cross contamination. After prepping my GF sub in a separate area and using clean utensils, I watched the guy dip Mayo out of the communal mayo tub and smear it and the cross contaminated crumbs on my no longer GF sub. So disappointing.
