My boyfriend (no gluten intolerant) and I went on a Sunday late morning and it was busy which we both believe is a good sign. The service was quick the decor was beautiful, and the display cases and yummy sweets which two were gluten free (Portuguese flan and flourless chocolate cake). The prices are reasonable, servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about gluten, and took extra precautions when informed it was an allergy versus a preference. I will definitely be visiting again.

Plenty of gf options. Got a 3 from me because I ordered a gf sandwich take out. When I got home realized it was toasted, I called to ask if there was a separate toaster, they responded they use the same toaster but clean it out when it’s for a gluten allergy. I personally wasn’t comfortable with using a shared cooking surface like that, but if you are comfortable then it’s a great gf option.

Absolutely love Tia Maria’s! They are totally safe and very accommodating for celiacs. For breakfast I love having a complete breakfast including home fries (safely prepared) and delicious GF toast (separately toasted). Coffee is great as well! Added bonus.
I’ve also had dinner and they are equally accommodating for a gluten allergy! You can even eat the fries :)

I’ve only ever gotten take out, but they take me seriously when I order gluten free
I only order breakfast from them. They have the best gluten free bread! I love getting their toast with my breakfast.

I absolutely love Tia's! I have celiac and feel completely safe eating here. My favorite is (Jordan's secret menu option 😉) the Steak Mozambique! I ask them make it with wine instead of beer! Jessica - the owner, along with all the staff are super helpful! And when in doubt, they will check the ingredient list. Ps, they have amazing gf desserts and organic coffee!!

I was nervous about eating here because there weren't a lot of reviews and there wasn't a separate GF menu. But it turned out to be a wonderful experience! Our waitress was very friendly, accommodating and eager to provide me with a safe meal. She asked me as many questions as I asked her! She even came back to see if it was okay if the kitchen used butter to grill my BLT. When I started asking whether or not it was communal butter, you could see her get it and she said, "We have individual pats of butter. We could use that!" You will have to ask a lot of questions to understand what is GF and what isn't, but it will be worth it. The BLT was delicious and the bread was very good. This place is very literally right behind the New Bedford Whaling Museum(a must see!), so it's in a great location if you're exploring New Bedford. Definitely celiac friendly.

great place to grab a quik bite to eat, in historic downtown behind the whaling museum. flour less chocolate cake is to die for. gf bread but limited options to make a sandwich though. had grilled cheese pesto tomato sandwich. 4 stars for not having more gf sandwich fillings.
