This review is specifically for the ice cream. While they do have an allergen binder, I did not feel that the workers were knowledgeable about gluten or had received training on allergen protocols/how to read ingredient labels. Several of them were rude when I asked questions about cross-contamination and what flavors were Gluten Free which gave me a lower level of confidence that what I ordered was going to be safe. I did end up ordering and they were willing to scoop with a clean ice cream scoop and fresh carton of ice cream from the back but I would say that, overall, this was an unnecessarily stressful experience and I will likely not be back. The ice cream itself was delicious and ended up being safe (I didn’t get sick and I’m very sensitive) but just make sure you are being diligent about asking questions when you are ordering and be careful. Ditto the review before mine. Great allergy protocol at the ice cream section—checking allergen book, changing gloves, getting scoops separately from the back. Felt very taken care of. The regular food seemed unlikely to meet my needs so I just ate cheese with my own crackers and got beef jerky from the gift shop.

This review is for the ice cream shop only. The restaurant has almost no gluten free options. The ice cream is processed in a facility that has wheat products, they clean the equipment between the different products, read their website for more info. As far as the service goes, they have a book that can describe allergens in each flavor. When you order, if you tell them it's for an allergy, they will change gloves, get clean utensils, and get your ice cream from a separate area that hasn't been cross-contaminated. Excellent experience!

Great experience! If you book a tour or anything like that it asks if anyone in your party has an allergy (gluten, nuts, etc.). During our tour we were asked again if there was an allergy, then offered a separate ice cream flavor as one of the tastings had gluten. We got lunch where they offer GF bread for sandwiches and offer to cook & prepare your food in a separate area of the kitchen. No fried foods due to cross contamination, but do with that what you will. I got a GF grilled cheese: the first time around it seemed they forgot to grill it but they happily remade it for me and the second time around the cheese was delicious, the bread was fine (per usual). Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and love dairy!!

None of the ice cream is gluten free, none of it is tested to be gluten-free, none of it is certified to be gluten-free and literally every last ounce of it is packaged with wheat products, made in a facility with wheat products and made on the same equipment and during the same production day runs as wheat-containing products (with hours in between for processing time at most). The only non-beverage gluten-free offering is a crouton-less (if they remember), dressing-free salad made on a cross-contaminated counter (they have no dedicated gluten-free areas to prep it).

Stopped with a group of friends for lunch. I asked what they had that was gf, and the only offering was a Caesar salad with no croutons (ok), and no dressing (!). Sooo, a plain salad was all I could get. No thanks.

To their credit, they did a great job with the ice cream. Clean scoop. New gloves. And they took everything to the back to scoop from fresh cartons of ice cream.

Counter seemed knowledgeable about what I could and couldn’t eat. No dedicated fryer so no fries for me but I had a grilled cheese. Each sandwich is on its own tray but you can’t see where it is prepared so it made me a little nervous but didn’t get sick. The ice cream counter guy was accommodating and washed his hands, new gloves and utensils, and went in the back for new ice cream.

I had the same experience as earlier reviewers, with the scooper getting a clean scoop from a back room. They’re definitely knowledgeable and willing to do what they can to make things safe. One of the employees told me that although Tillamook ice creams are all made on the same equipment (which it states plainly in the allergen info), the equipment is thoroughly cleaned between flavors. I figure it’s probably as safe as my kitchen, if not more so. I didn’t get sick and am thrilled that I can now buy Tillamook ice cream from the supermarket too!

Employees at the ice cream counter were knowledgeable about allergies and how to minimize the chance of cross contamination. He looked up the ingredients for my ice cream to make sure it was gluten free. He then changed his gloves, went to the walk in freezer and got my ice cream from a container that hadn’t been exposed to gluten. Since gluten is present, there is a risk of cross contamination.

The food court is not safe for anyone who is sensitive to cross contamination, though they do carry gluten free bread. Employee was honest and friendly. It’s a fast paced kitchen without a dedicated area to prepare gluten free food.

The restaurant itself is not celiac friendly. They are very honest about it.

Employees at ice cream place didn’t know what gluten was. Finally after several rude employees they did open a new tub of vanilla and served my daughter in a cup but not without it seeming like a huge hassle.

I'm sitting here at the Tillamook food court watching my family eat. I read the review before I got here that this place is celiac friendly. I was told by a worker that all the salads are cross contaminated and the buns are cooked on the same grill as the meat. Fryer is cross contaminated. Nothing here I can have

I had the continental cheese sandwich with turkey and told them I have celiac and they made sure to communicate that to the kitchen. The sandwich was delightful and I had no side effects after eating there

Had the turkey pesto grilled cheese on gluten free bread. It was very good.

Was very happy with Tillamook. Super casual. Ordered sandwich and burger. Me and hubby shared. Really good. No sickness the next day. Only bummer is the ice cream is made in a place that shares wheat ingredients and being celiac couldn’t have any ice cream, but other than that is was great
