First of all, this place is called “toasted oat cafe” and they don’t even have oat milk. We got coffees and they taste so bland. Waiting too long for one sandwich. Should have more options to add into coffee besides milk and sugar.

First of all, this restaurant is in an office park so we thought we were in the wrong place at first. We did find the gluten-free bakery in the same office park, which was closed, but a small place that’s dedicated gluten-free. Toasted Oat had good food, but be careful. When I mentioned that I was gluten-free, the cashier did ask me if it was an allergy and told me that they have just one fryer. I told him I was gluten intolerant, and that the fryer situation was OK. I was interested in ordering the grain bowl, but commented that I can’t eat barley. He said “oh, we’re out of barley.” I asked if I could have a gluten-free roll instead, and he said I could. Then my bowl came out and it had barley on it! I showed him that it had barley, and he said “oh great!” I replied not great for me, I didn’t want the barley! So he quickly had the cook make a new bowl for me. The bowl was delicious! Also, it’s not related to the gluten situation, but my partner asked for a custom sandwich from the “build your own” part of the menu, and the cashier was confused by that. My partner DID get what he wanted. Also, the gluten-free roll was very good, certainly not equal to taste to one with gluten but quite serviceable, sort of like an English muffin, but larger.

I found this in the app and was excited to check it out. I was extremely impressed with the staff's knowledge of allergies, in fact I got the Reuben bowl without eggs because of an egg issueAnd they came out and let me know that there were eggs in the Russian dressing. They also let me know the fryer is shared with the breaded chicken.I got the tater tots anyway to see if I had a reaction to that. But I appreciated knowing in advance. It was amazing, photo below. They also let me know that there could be cross-contamination on the grill Because of the eggs, I didn't ask about Gluten on the grill. Anyway they take allergies Seriously And it was a relief to not have to worry. Also wowzers that bowl was amazing!

Had a great egg scramble! Very knowledgeable about cross contamination and they disclosed the shared fryer. They have great GF biscuits!

A dedicated customer for years, this is THE breakfast spot in the Farmington Valley. The ingredients are always fresh and I have never had an issue with gf. They know their stuff and honestly the breakfast bomb is the tastiest breakfast sandwich ever! Their specials are great, but classics are even better. They use GF bread from a local vendor that is actually located in the same plaza.
