The peanut butter flourless cookies, available at the front counter, but in a separate case are listed as gluten free. I need wheat free which this product clearly is.
As soon as I ate it (it was delicious) I got an intense stomachache and the next day classic “wheat poisoning” symptoms like extreme exhaustion (I got 7.5 hours of sleep)
hypersensitive to other foods, such as dairy products and so on.
My only guess is that it was cross-contaminated. Like the equipment wasn’t completely cleaned?
