I went here after seeing a review from a gf instagram site. It was very good. I got a bowl with chicken. It has rice, beans and some grilled vegetables as well as cotillo cheese. Very good, very filling. The person who took my order seemed knowledgeable about celiac. He said they had certain protocols. He said he would tell the cooks, they would change gloves, etc. I did have to remind him, once I put in my order, that I did have celiac. So just make sure the kitchen does know. He also said the only things with gluten are flour tortillas, for burritos, and veggie chicken. I asked if the veggie chicken was cooked in the same pans as the other meat and he said that it wasn’t but honestly I wasn’t totally sure if he knew what I was asking. So you might want to check. They also had their menu very specifically labeled for the gf items which is typically s good sign. I am very sensitive and I did not have any reaction whatsoever. This is a great alternative to chipotle (for those who don’t trust Chipotle, and I don’t).
The food was fine, if a little on the expensive side. I’m very sensitive to cross contact however, and I did get sick from a bowl that was marked as GF on the menu, even though I made sure to ask while ordering if it was a safe choice. I also explained that cross contact will make me sick, but there must have been some. I don’t know if it was because it was a busy day (the day before thanksgiving), but I won’t be going back.
The have GF “flour” tortilla for burritos and mini churros and many other GF options in their menu.
