The food is good and fresh, with gf options clearly indicated on the wall menu. The wait person asked if I needed a glove change. What I'm not crazy about here is that the menu is split into build your own warm rice bowls or build your own poke bowls, and the toppings don't cross over. The server didn't want to let us put a warm rice bowl condiment on a poke bowl. It was kind of ridiculous. Otherwise, it was tasty, safe, and reasonably priced.

This place seemed pretty good, I age here with no reaction! The staff was very aware of the gluten free options. I felt safer sticking to the rolls rather than trying a whole bowl.

Good and fast service with lots of GF options.
The California rolls were awesome.

Do NOT order the General Joe's Rice Noodle Bowl! I've eaten it successfully several times but it has made me sick twice. The first time I found Udon noodles in with my rice noodles it was explained to me that they sometimes use the same water to boil the Udon noodles and the rice noodles. This dish is listed as gluten free on the menu. False advertising. Today the same thing happened again after I specified "gluten free for allergies" when I ordered. They don't walk the line and don't care. I'll never eat there again.

Love the heck out of this location! One of my favorites in town. The GF teriyaki is some of the best in town and the spring rolls are friggin delicious. The GF items are definitely GF and I have not gotten sick from their food. I highly recommend this restaurant as it is my favorite place to eat while cramming in my studies.

Past 2 times the gf terriaki sauce has made me ill. Don't think I will go back anytime soon. Tofuis also NOT gf. Store employee said it was but when I got ill and went back the manager told me that the employee had been "misinformed".
Ordered a bowl, specified to the team member that I was celiac and needed gluten free. Ended up incredibly sick that evening after eating. Somewhere cross contamination or the request was not adhered to. Will not be returning.

I worked here for a while and I would not recommend it if you have celiac. There’s a high chance of cross contamination. *Very dependent on what you order and who’s working.

I eat safely at Tokyo Joes all the time at several different locations. They are pretty safe since they’re trained to change gloves, knife and cutting boards for gluten free. (JIC always indicate it’s Celiac/allergy so they flag it and know to take the precautions they’re trained to)

Many many options for a GF person, and very clearly marked on the menu. Additionally they carry GF soy sauce! It’s refreshing to be able to create so many custom options
