Limited GF options but if you ask they’re very accomodating about altering a dish to make it GF. I had the shrimp and scallop dish and it was wonderful. Attentive and knowledgeable staff, highly recommend.
The kitchen did not send out my daughter’s GF meal. It took about 15 minutes to get the attention of the waitress and she did her best to help out. In the rush to serve us her missing meal she received a raw steak that had to be sent back. We all waited as long as we could but had to eat our meals cold. In the end the waitress had cleared our table and my daughter still had not received her meal. The steak had been reheated but the rest of the food in her plate was cold. We had a very unfortunate experience here and did not feel in the end that the restaurant handled the situation properly. Additionally I am not giving them high marks for safety b/c she was re-served the same steak that had already been sliced into. I know where we live that violates health code and it makes me question the safety precautions for cross contamination in the kitchen. The waitress felt terrible about the entire situation and couldn’t have been kinder. I do see that many people had much better experiences here than we did and I hope this is not the norm. I am sorry to say that I can not recommend this establishment based solely on our experience
Had a great experience here! Only a small portion of the menu was labelled gluten free but when we asked the staff were super knowledgeable and the kitchen were happy to alter meals to make them GF. They gave us cucumber and corn chips instead of bread for the dips and for main I ordered a curry which they made gluten free for me. The food was amazing and I felt safe eating here.
There are just a few GF items listed on the menu and they had one scallop special that was GF. We got the steak and the scallop special and it was great! This restaurant was recommended to us by the folks at the Pu'uwai Aloha Bakery and said it's very safe. Beautiful upstairs deck and live entertainment. Would definitely return!
Great ambience. The menu has GF marked and the servers are knowledgeable. My husband got the regular bread and the server brought me some GF chips and salsa. The lump and avocado salad was amazing and had lots of crab. GF dessert was the pineapple brûlée. Will return here for sure

Came here because of the great reviews on this app and it didn’t disappoint! They only had seats at the bar, but the bartender was super nice and called up to the kitchen to confirm about the gf fryer. Had the simple salad and gf fries and it was delicious, no reaction after. Gluten-eaters with me really enjoyed their meals (steak salad & tuna poke) as well!
When our waitress introduced herself, she was aware that one of our party was celiac and ready to show me what dishes could be made GF..I’d had my heart set on Poke which is listed on the menu as GF.
An adjustment was made in the ingredients to accommodate my garlic allergy, and I was able to enjoy my incredible Poke..
Tommy Bahamas restaurant is on the upper floor of their building, has knowledgeable staff, amazing food, a list of Chef’s specials every night in addition to the normal menu, excellent live music and everyone was friendly and helpful.
Our party of 6, mostly non-celiac, without exception will be coming back again and telling everyone they know about the outstanding food and over the top service.
They have their menu marked, server was knowledgeable but then at the same time recommended a few dishes that weren't gf on menu and mentioned subs could happen but I reminded her about the soy sauce and she said , oh yeah.... So but after talking thru it, she got it down. Had the steak, potatoes and veggies with creme brulee in a pineapple, no issues.
One of the best meals I had while on vacation. And the best part, I didn’t get sick. We ordered their filet mignon and the Poke appetizer. The food was out of this world and I had to talk myself out of going a second time. Our server was also fabulous! And the live music during dinner was awesome! Make sure you tell them that you are celiac as soon as you are seated so that they take all the necessary precautions.
Great experience! Food was delicious and good variety of food on the menu with a dedicated GF fryer. GF items were clearly marked and the waiter was able to mark which items on their specials menu were GF. Staff were knowledgeable and informed me that they take precautions to change gloves, use new cutting board, and new utensils. My go to spot in Waikiki. Feel very comfortable eating here and felt fine afterwards.
Not going to win any fine dining awards, but this was a go to place during our trip. Great gf options, dedicated fryer, knowledgeable staff, fun upstairs patio. Pineapple crème brûlée was gf too (without the whipped cream..?). Menu is well labelled, daily specials sheet is not.
Came here twice with celiac daughter. First time she got Yukon golden mash, simple salad, salmon, broccoli and crème brûlée. These were marked GF on menu and waitress seemed knowledgeable. Was a good experience. Second time we came and she ate GF fries and GF simple salad. Waiter told us that they could make the fish tacos gluten free with a lettuce wrap. They reassured us many times that everything was gluten-free that they were bringing our daughter, and that they even put it in as a gluten allergy. When the fish tacos came out, they were in tortillas. This was different from what we were told so we obviously were concerned that this was the wrong order. We said we had ordered gluten free tacos, and the manager came out. He reassured us that there was a miscommunication made and they would correct it. He was very defensive and when I said it was very disappointing and I would write a review to inform the celiac community of our experience he got very mad and said “don’t threaten me.” It was a very bad experience and caused a lot anxiety for us and our daughter with celiac disease. When they brought out the fish tacos with lettuce wraps, she did not want to eat them. It really ruined our dinner. We really wanted to give this place five stars but this experience was very disappointing and scary.
Several dinner options marked gluten free. Wait staff said other dishes could be prepared gluten free and she would ask kitchen if I wanted any of them. Mentioned a dedicated fryer too! I choose the mahi-mahi dinner that was naturally gf and was delicious. Wait staff helpful. Would go again!
Amazing experience! The wait staff was so knowledgeable and it felt so safe to eat here. My gf toddler had fries and chips, fried in a separate fryer. I had a seafood risotto dish with crème brûlée. Highly recommend! And if you can eat on the rooftop bar, that’s the way to go.
MUST GO! This place was amazing. Almost everything can be made gf, even barbecue wings. The server took the allergy really seriously and was confident in assuring me it would be safe. She also asked if it was an allergy vs intolerance. I got the pineapple glazed mahi mahi and it was so good!! I didn’t feel sick after, I actually felt amazing and I’m confident they are doing things safely. We also got the dip duo to start which was yummy. 10/10
AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend. There are many GF menu items listed on the menu but there are even more things they can make safe for my daughter with celiac. She had the Duo of Dips, the Shrimp and Scallop Doria, a non-alcoholic Mojito, and the crème brûlée which was served in a pineapple slice. They served my bread on the side of my cioppino so she could taste it. Everything was delicious and we had zero safety concerns. Our waitress was knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!
Amazing! They asked right away if anyone had a food allergy. They have a special chefs menu and marked everything that could be handled GF. Our server double checked everything with us, they brought food ensuring they noted all was GF. We had a delicious corn dip appetizer with tortilla chips (separate fryer). My salad was amazing as was my husbands GF mac crusted fish (although he didn’t need it that way we got it to share) were delicious! No reaction or feeling sick afterwards!!! Would come back again and again!
It might be a chain, but wait staff and kitchen took cross contamination seriously and food was good. My niece felt very confident ordering here.
I am gluten intolerant. The menu had marked items that are gluten-free which was extremely helpful since Hawaii doesn’t seem to have a lot of gluten free friendly places. The staff was amazing. The server understood the importance of my intolerance. The food was very good. I would go back.
I am a super sensitive celiac. My daughter is also celiac. We both had the filet and also the cauliflower appetizer. Everything was really delicious. Best filet I’ve had in a while. I loved the blue cheese on top. I also had a side of the almond rice and pineapple crème brûlée for dessert.No problems at all.
