Best gluten free pizza I've ever had in my life. (Are here last night too and had pasta and it was ok.) staff gets gluten free and takes it seriously.
Had the vodka cream gluten free pasta. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had.
Really yummy GF pizza! Long wait for a table and don't take reservations.
I very nearly skipped this place, feeling so over GF pizza and pasta...thank heavens I didn't. Totally incredible food, GF or otherwise. Ideal menu for four people to share: Italy salad, Jersey GF pizza, GF breadsticks, and the pesto GF pasta. Heaven!
They Make every effort to avoid cross contamination. Had GF pizza and GF bread sticks. Some of the best GF I have had. Did not get sick. Ask the waiter about your options. Very knowledgeable staff about celiac . Will go there again . Approximately 1 hour wait to be seated. Worth the wait. Second review, came back , pizza was amazing, did not get sick. Will come here every visit to the city. Was a Wednesday night 730 pm. Place was packed . One hour wait. Worth it!
This place is awesome! Great staff, very knowledgeable. We got there early and it was an hour and a half wait but definitely worth it.
AMAZING A MUST IN SAN FRANCISCO!!! Gluten free pizza, pasta and bread sticks- I had a waiter recommend the GF New Yorker and it was amazing even my partner ate my GF one instead of his and said it was the best he has ever had!!
Had the American style pizza with Italian sausage which was incredible. Got there early but still had to wait awhile to be seated. Food is excellent!
Excellent food! This place is open for business. (The app has that it's permanently closed but I'm here and it is very much in business!). Breadsticks, pizza, pasta, salads -all gluten free!!
Screw Chicago! Born and raised and still live there, but this is the BEST pizza gluten free or not! WOW! We live in the suburbs of Chicago and I think our pizza is better than the city of Chicago. But this was fantastic, something I'd make homeade myself. Don't miss this if you are gluten free and miss pizza!!!! Classic American with sausage is what I ordered.
Sensational gf pizza! I'm a celiac from Australia & have eaten lots of pizzas around & this was the best! I felt safe with their suggestions & I didn't get sick. A must try for everyone!
It was a late night out in north beach and we were hungry so we stopped in on the take out side. They made me feel safe and assured me they would do their best to avoid cross contamination. I didn't get sick and the pizza was amazing!!
Probably the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. And I've had it at many places! The restaurant is very popular so go at an off time. Or go pick up a pager and go do something else for a hour.
Great pizza at a legendary spot. They cook the GF pizza in its own oven and state on the menu that they take cross contamination seriously. That said there is always a risk dining anywhere but this place has quality food and the GF Pies are right on the menu along with the rest for all to try.
Our wait was going to be a 1.5 to 1.75 hour wait so we opted to go to the take out stand. We did wait about 30 mins for our GF pizza, but it was soooo worth the wait! The GF breadsticks are delicious and Scott was so helpful, kinda awesome, actually.
outstanding flavor and GF!! absolutely wonderful food! worth the trip, worth the wait. the service is fantastic, as are the options for us GF folks! i cannot say enough about this place. seriously. go here.
Long wait for a table and it was worth the wait. The gluten free pizza was fantastic!!! My family enjoyed the pizza too!!!
The gluten-free pizza was delicious, and this is the only place I've ever been where you could get gluten-free bread sticks. They put cheese on them per my sons request. he ate everyone and most of his pizza
Best gluten free crust I have ever had. Gluten free breadsticks were excellent too.
Wow! LOVE the gf pizza with super tasty Italian Sausage. Our friend, a native SF, says this is the best ever and it is! I would decline the gf breadsticks next time- seemed liked jazzed up pizza crust. Great service, great food. Definitely going back!
Amazing gluten free pizza and they have gluten free breadsticks.
Very knowledgeable, but they admit that in a pizza kitchen sometimes flour just gets in the air. Dedicated oven for the gf pizza.
A tasty, gluten-free meal we enjoyed in San Francisco.
They don't make the dough from scratch but it was yummy and crisp!
Great food, atmosphere and service! Best meal in San Francisco! Love this little gem in Little Italy!
Best GF pizza we have had- definitely recommend.
I dream about this pizza.
The pizza was amazing great flavor with every bite. I also ordered the gluten free breadsticks they came out hot and delicious. Would recommend to everyone.
Great gluten free options including pizza and pasta. The gluten free bread sticks were delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and very nice. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.
Great gluten free pizza. Even my husband who does not have gluten issues split a gluten free pizza with me and he even liked it. I had no gluten issues.
Try the Eddie Munster on a GF crust. Fried kale, smoked bacon, honey and lemon. Auh-mazing!
Best GF pizza I have ever had! Went twice in 3 nights in the city. I was getting married while in town and was so worried I would get sick...but nope, it was delish! Highly recommend if in the area. Staff was very helpful and reassuring. Got cheese pizza and the breadsticks. Had cold pizza for the next day!
Pizza was ridiculously good! Hour long wait for a table though and no way to book :(
I'm from New England. I have not found any gluten free pizza that compares to Tonys . I had to double check that it really was gluten free! It was better than s&x. I washed it down with an excellent gluten free beer. I felt "normal" today! Thank you Jose :-)
Busy pizza place in general. So much so that we had to forgo dining because we would miss the football game viewing party we were headed towards afterwards. Instead we ordered via their take out storefront and ate at one of the tables street side. The person who drove us to the area said everyone loves Tony's! He was right. The crust was tasty. Seemingly crispier than the non-gluten-free crusts, but we didn't expect total equivalence. We'll definitely be making a return visit for the pizza when we're next in Little Italy.
Absolutely amazing!!!!! Best gluten free pizza I've had on either coast! Servers were informed about celiac and knowledgeable about options. Highly recommend the Jersey pizza and gluten free breadsticks as appetizer. This restaurant is a must if you are in the area!
GF pizza was awesome got it with the Italian sausage on it and it tasted amazing. They have Estrella daura gf beer, wish they would have had an additional option as far as beer but still overall great experience. Only complaint was that our table was right near the oven and it was really hot. Waiter Chris was cool
Outstanding pizza. I am fairly sensative to cross contamination and didn't have any trouble. Their gf breadsticks are only okay but the pizza is great. (mostly because of the toppings)
Best gluten-free pizza we've had. And breadsticks, too!
This place is delicious!! We ordered 3 GF pizzas (12 inch is the only size) and bread sticks; this was delicious pizza. I do not rate food on what is good "for gluten-free." This is delicious pizza that happens to be GF. I would highly recommend Tony's. There are 2 doors: 1 at the corner that goes into bar/restaurant and the second door is to the to-go door where you order at the counter. The menu is exactly the same. After the 45 minute wait with 45 more to wait, we decided to order it to go.
Not only the best gf pizza I've had, but the best pizza I've ever had!( I discovered i have an intolerance to gluten with very uncomfortable symptoms 8 years ago.) I wonder how I'll ever eat pizza from anywhere else. The salad and non-alcoholic cocktail were also delicious.
Great food, gluten friendly menu, unfortunately cannot have the meatballs, sausage, ground beef. They have GF breadsticks, pizza, and pasta.
Great pizza and view. We got there at 8pm and were told an hour and a half wait. We put in our name/phone number, walked up to Coit tower, strolled the neighborhood and were called 40 minutes later with an outside table under the heat lamps. View of the lit up Sts Peter & Paul church. The waitress was helpful on menu. Spouse had regular pizza and I had gluten free, along with GF herbed breadsticks. the GF pizza had crispy bottom, plenty of flavorful sauce and creamy ricotta dollops of cheese as well as mozzarella. It was really good and, in my book, worth the wait. we did know of a.possible wait ahead of time from this app's comments, sonar had a banana before.leaving the hotel to tide us over :-)
Out of all of the gluten free pizza places local to the wharf/north beach area of san francisco Tonys by far has the best pizza. It is also affordable compared to Amici's and Patxi's. 5 stars for sure.
They have a gluten pizza with great choices on toppings
