First time there and it was amazing. Food was very good. Do not think can go wrong. Staff very knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contamination. Separate friers. Owner also gluten free. Definitely recommend and will go back.

The food and service were amazing here. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and even offered suggestions. Everything on the menu is marked and has all the allergens listed. There are so many options. The food was remarkable. No issues at all. I can't wait until I am back in Cleveland again.

Everything is marked gluten free, which is helpful, but I wasn’t impressed with the food. Still, it’s a safe place to go in a pinch.

My favorite place in town by far, healthy, never once had a reaction. GF bun is fantastic, get the sweet potato fries. Can tell them you have an allergy and they mark it down on the order. Paleo, vegan , whatever you want options abound, they use avocado oil in fryers. I thought they had a dedicated fryer but would have to double check - I don’t think anything with gluten is fried, all they have with gluten is the regular bun. The to-go side is calmer and more quiet. Other side is a big more of a bar loud feel. Super fun, feels like a log cabin.

Ate here with my family on a Friday evening. I had high expectations given the good reviews (on this app *and* on google). However the experience was not confidence inspiring.
They brought normal soy sauce with our sushi. Our waitress disappeared as soon as she brought it so I had to flag down another server to ask if it was was tamari & shortly after, our waitress appeared and said she accidentally brought normal soy sauce instead of gluten free. Thank god we double checked.
We were also sharing apps/food so she brought small plates so we could divide the dishes. Both of the extra plates were dirty & had food crusted on (and we doubt all the crusted food was 100% gluten free). We asked if we could have some clean plates & she apologized profusely — but again, dangerous if we hadn’t noticed.
The food was only okay, so not worth it given the risk.

Amazing food! I’m so happy I was able to find gluten free AND vegan food here. They also have tons of other options for those who eat gluten and meat so you can come here with a group and everyone can get something delicious.

We go here anytime I want to enjoy normal foods not available to me in GF form anywhere else. For example- they have fried foods that are not cooked in cross contaminated oil, peanut oil or soybean oil. They even make sushi that someone with a soy allergy can eat, providing coconut aminos for dipping. I am never disappointed in the food and the service is usually spot on too. I highly recommend for someone who is looking for GF options. The only drawback is that I also have an allergy to nuts and most of their desserts are made with almond flour or contain nuts, so I skip desert. But they are an establishment that is very careful with ingredients and allergen awareness, so I enjoy a delicious oat milk latte instead of dessert!

Such a good place to eat if you’re gf and other dietary restrictions! So much vegan/veg/gf/other allergy options and the waitress was super knowledgeable and attentive to cross contamination. They have a dedicated fryer and most of their food is naturally gf. All gf is marked on the menu, and they have lots of entree, appetizers, side options, even gf dessert options. Super duper cute and outside dining areas as well

We arrived in Cleveland super late at night and went to townhall to have dinner. Upon arrival we were told in 10 minutes (at 10 pm) the kitchen would close, but we were able to order before it did so! We got sushi and grilled salmon, that were very tasty. The place is cool, cozy, and the attendants are very kind. To be honest, I felt a little concerned, but did not get sick.

Mid-July 2022 visit. Decent set of GF options labeled on the menu. However, our server confirmed that the fryer is shared with gluten containing foods, so that cut-out a number of fried possibilities. Server was patient, and eagerly offered to check with the kitchen based on my questions, including whether there was malt in the shakes - to which the answer was no. Chocolate shake was really tasty.

My boyfriend and I came to Cleveland for our anniversary. We ate here for lunch, and had an amazing time. We ended up canceling our anniversary dinner plans and came back for dinner, and again for lunch the next day. Service is incredible, food is amazing, and they are SO CAREFUL about allergies.

I love this restaurant! The atmosphere is so cool, and there’s two sides to it. One side is dining in with a waiter and the other you order at a counter. I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich with fries, the best fried chicken I’ve had gluten free! I also had the peanut bowl which I liked but it was spicy. Their desserts were also good too!

I have a food allergy (wheat reacts the same way to my skin as poison ivy), developed a rash and had difficulty breathing shortly after eating carry out from here. Not sure of the food safety because of this. Otherwise, the food tasted good and menu had a lot of GF options. This establishment might be better suited for someone with less severe reactions

I love the food there. It used to be my go-to when I was first diagnosed but the last 2 or 3 times I went there I got glutened. The last time was pretty bad. I no longer go there but the gluten free food is very good if you can handle cross-contamination.
No
I will preface this by saying - I love townhall! I love their food. I live across the street and was eating there pretty consistently since they are one of the only places in Cleveland to get gluten free fare. I have to eat strictly gluten free for health reasons. Lately, after eating there quite a bit, I was not feeling well consistently and have health issues associated with ingesting gluten. This was the only restaurant I was eating at consistently so I got out my Nima and tested two items of theirs that we had ordered - a gluten free pizza and a gluten free Thai noodle bowl - both, when ordered I indicated I had an allergy to gluten. Sadly, both immediately tested with “gluten found” on the Nima sensor. I contacted the restaurant via email (have not heard back) and then via FB message - someone did respond to that and said they were looking into it and asked if they could have a call with me about it. I replied yes, but have not heard back (in about a week). I know they do have some non gluten free items but the majority of their food is gluten free - and it should be relatively easy to protect against cross contamination with some education. I still think it’s a fabulous place - but those with celiac and other serious issues should test their food or think twice before assuming it is safe, unfortunately. I really hope they look into this and implement some new measures so that the food is truly safe for those with allergies.
No
I have celiac and a BAD dairy allergy.
I left two restaurants in a row and finally landed at this gem! The staff is well educated. The food was amazing! I got a classic breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and GF biscuit with two different spreads. When I got my food, I thought the portion seemed a bit skimpy at first but oh my goodness was it filling!! We had food left over! The bacon is amazing. Well worth it and I CANNOT wait to visit again. Finally a restaurant devoted to my allergy needs!

Every single staff member I talked to knew their shit! Amazing celiac friendly restaurant/bar. Open doors, fun atmosphere, food was plant based, whole, and delicious. MUST SEE in Cleveland - we stopped by on a road trip and was not disappointed. Got the mashed avos (spicy kick), veggie burger(black bean), and truffle fries. Almost everything is gf and they take great caution to prepare separately. Dedicated fryer. I’ll be back fo sho.

The GF flatbread and nachos were delicious! So many items to choose from!

As delicious as everyone says! I got the chicken nachos and they were really good. Server was knowledgeable on gf.

Menu is clearly marked, and an added bonus is that everything is non-gmo. I had the paleo buffalo chicken tenders which were so flavorful, and the cheeseburger with the Keto bun (GF). I really enjoyed the burger and the fries were tasty. I was in town for a conference and decided to go back the next day for Sunday brunch. I had the paleo coconut pancakes, they were so good. I also had the gluten free chocolate cookie to-go and it was the softest GF cookie I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place. I felt safe eating here even though it was super busy.

Amazing place, our waitress Hayley couldn’t. Have been any better and the food was perfect. I’m celiac and had no problems. I wish I lived in Cleveland so I could go here regularly!!

Okay, so I ha dread the reviews on here and was super excited to try it. I ordered the sorghum burger sub GF bun. Then I asked if they had a dedicated fryer, because I really wanted those truffle fries. The gal said "no, but the gluten burns off, so it's okay". At this point, I almost just left. I asked her about the chips and pico. She said "I think they're gluten free. They're tortilla chips". I asked "are they corn or flour? Are they baked or fried?" the other attendant said they are corn. First gal said "Um, I guess I can ask if they are baked or fried" with some mild irritation. So I ordered the grain free tabbouleh because I was about done at this point. I will say the food was delicious and thank goodness I didn't get sick, but that particular individual was not knowledgeable at all. When I ordered the GF bun she asked "okay do you have any dietary restrictions?" and I replied "yes, I have Celiac, my food had to be strictly gluten free" and she said "uhm.... Okay". I was surprised because this place is designed for different diets and restrictions (vegan, GF, paleo, keto) so I'm not sure if this is a new staff member? It honestly was pretty unsettling, but luckily the prep staff seems to know what they are doing.

Any place with a dedicated dryer is a huge hit with my son, who has Celiac Disease. This restaurant had that and more. He had so many GF choices, but settled on a delicious burger and fries. The atmosphere was fun and the staff sensitive to our GF needs and questions regarding cross contamination. If we lived nearby, we would be frequent customers!!!

Love this place. So accommodating to GF and paleo. The ingredients are extremely high quality and delicious.
