This place had plenty of gluten free options! I just stopped in for a quick snack and had a side of French fries! They were yummy and surprisingly gluten free as they do look breaded. They confirmed using a separate fryer!

Located in Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
Not a separate gf menu, but all options are marked on the regular menu. They have gf bread for burgers, and a separate frier to make safe French fries. Expensive, but safe for celiacs. Staff is knowledgeable and can answer questions.

Went here thinking I couldn’t get anything. Was excited to see all the options available and was super happy to hear about all the precautions taken. Wait staff was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel at home. Shout out to Kira!

Very good food and atmosphere! Nice to have fries as an option. The GF bun was kind of dry but that can be expected at home too. Expensive lunch but worth it. Drinks were good also!

No longer offering gf pancakes
— No gluten-free information on the menu
They had several gluten free options marked on the menu. One night I had a burger on a GF bun. Waitress indicated th fries were cooked in a dediced fryer. Another night I had a steak and they prepped a special separate sauce since the menu sauce has gluten.

Great place! Went there twice without getting sick. I am a celiac and respond with even the slightest cross-contamination. Highly recommend, but be warned… it is pricey.
Went for breakfast and dinner and it was great! Waitstaff is very knowledgeable. One meal came out with gluten-free bread that looked different than the last meal and when I asked about it they explained they were using a different kind of gluten free bread that day. Yum!

Menu is labeled very clearly and they have a separate area of the kitchen! The food was absolutely AMAZING, and the waiter was super helpful and nice.

Our server, Lisa, was not only very attentive, but also had a strong awareness of the gluten content of many items on the menu. Where she wasn’t 100% sure, she double-checked with the kitchen. While there isn’t a separate GF menu, the standard menu indicates items that can easily be made GF. They also had GF toast to go with my breakfast dish & potatoes were fried in a dedicated fryer. They did a great job!

We ate breakfast and dinner here during our short stay in Waikiki. My son who has Celiac and is quite sensitive to cross-contamination never got sick. They had gf buns for burgers and spent the time to dig through their freezer for gf bread for breakfast. No dedicated fryer or gf bagels. The menu said they had "gf griddle cakes" for breakfast, but they didn't. Even though the menu wasn't always accurate, the restaurant was super-careful with my son's orders and always did their best to accommodate his order. And most importantly, he never got sick.

Being celiac on a vacation in an unfamiliar place can be nerve wracking! I kept hearing about this place from fellow celiacs. Though we are not staying at the resort where this restaurant is, we decided to make the drive and try it. I had a BBQ Hawaiian chicken sandwich-completely gluten free. The fries even have a designated fryer and are gf as well! Highly recommend!

The service was great! It was busy but they kept up with it. I ordered the Lobster Eggs Bennie on GF toast and it was amazing. The Lobster and eggs were cooked perfectly. The server was somewhat knowledgeable about the gluten free offerings but when she didn't know she asked a manager to find out.

I had an amazing BBQ brisket night for dinner. Fries and slaw. This morning i had 2 eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The staff was knowledgeable about GF and ensured that i had safe food. No negative effects. (I have CD and am very sensitive).

Ok. Tried the shrimp cocktail and didn’t have issues but was overpriced based on the portion. Best part of the restaurant is the view

We went here a number of times while staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It’s a nice safe option to have but it is over priced. My favourite was the open faced crab sandwich on the lunch menu. My only real complaint is that the nachos are not gluten free!
Yes
Have to agree with others. Good food, but not worth literally 50 percent more in cost. Had a few selections for gf, but not able to customize . We felt they push to buy drinks a little bit. Our observation. We were at the end of our day and tired, unfortunately nothing in the nearby area is gf friendly.or reasonable cost, so we landed back here. Possibly the marketplace next door. But that is grab and go. Rest if trip, we made sure to be closer to other dining options.
Inside the Hilton Hawaiian Village, they are pricey but with a decent selection of GF fare. Our server took very good care of me.
Wish I could post a photo of my amazing Ahi tuna salad!
Yes
Dedicated fryers and prep area for GF food. I had the cauliflower base pepperoni pizza and ohhhhh my goodness it was amazing. Will be back.
Yes
Loved their pancakes! A little bit on the pricey side but still very good! I would purchase again. I also did not get sick!
Yes
Got the chicken teriyaki and it was good. However it didn’t taste $22 good, more like half that. Food was good, hence the 4 stars, but the price will keep us away and have already found other options in the area.
Yes
Gluten free options are marked on the menu, and they have a separate fryer for fries, but you need to ask for that so you don’t get fries made in a another shared fryer. Food was great, and I didn’t get sick. Double win. One tip - ask for no straw. They use paper straws (many of which have gluten containing ingredients), and bring your drink out with the straw in it.
Yes
Gluten free pizzas . Marked gluten free options on menu. Waiters very knowledgeable and great service .
Yes
Gluten free burger was good. My burger was a little burnt but I asked for well done. The fries were gluten free though! This meal was celiac friendly.
Yes
We are staying at the Hilton Village Waikiki. Our family of 4 with celiac were treated so well at Tropics. Call ahead, speak to the manager and let them know your concerns. They are very knowledgeable, have a separate fryer for gluten free fries. Just make sure your server knows and speak to the manager before you get seated. Katrina (manager) is amazing.
Yes
We ordered French fries to go so we could eat them pool side since the pool restaurant did not have GF/DF options. The fries were good, no one got sick.
Yes
NIMA tested the GF fries and they came back ok to eat. We tested the GF pizza twice and it came back full of gluten each time. I can tell it's got it's own pan and GF crust so most likely due to cross contamination. We dodged a bullet with the pizza.
Very limited menu, confusion on what is/not GF. Food was O.K. Service was O.K. Not impressed, won’t return. Too many other good options in the area.
My celiac son doesn’t have obvious symptoms. That being said, I felt pretty safe getting him GF pancakes because the waiter was knowledgeable. The only thing I was concerned about was the syrup.....I couldn’t tell if it was pure maple.
Menu is marked, good pancake and egg options and even the breakfast potatoes were safe.
Yes
Food was great had the GF pancake with bananas little pricey for breakfast but other than that everything was great
Yes
Not a ton of GF options, but the ahi poke is delicious. A couple salads and a burger also offered, but I haven’t tried them. Awesome beachfront location.
Two of us are celiac and neither got sick :) the waiters was helpful and the pizzas and salad were nice. Definitely worth a visit!

SO good. The staff is knowledgeable and helped us tremendously. We did not get sick from the food at tropics. We are there literally almost every day. The food was delicious but... GOODNESS ME. The prices are through the roof!

The perfect place! Burgers, fries, pizza, even Caesar salad with a toasted crouton on top- all gf!

Simplicity at its best. Great GF burgers, fries and pizza. Great understanding of CD and also CC.
