The lasagna was amazing. Also got the chopped salad minus the farro, and it was good as well. The manager brought my food out and confirmed that it was all GF. All the desserts in the menu are GF, which left me with the difficult choice of flourless chocolate cake or chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.
When we walked in I could immediately tell the would be understanding of my dairy and gluten allergy and felt safe even though the menu says gluten “friendly” not free. The menu had lots of options, some of which I don’t get to experience when going out. I expect there to be a gluten free bun or taco shell but not an entire dessert menu! The bartender who served started to list the 3 options and I stopped him to say- you only have to tell me which are gluten and dairy free. To my surprise he said ALL! He was knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients and informed the kitchen of my allergies. All the food was very delicious! My husband keeps talking about how much he enjoyed it, especially the flourless warm chocolate cake. The whole restaurant including the bathrooms was immaculately clean. The customer service was wonderful from everyone even the runners bringing plates over. Of all the restaurants in this downtown area we tried, this was my favorite!
I had a wonderful experience dining at True Food Kitchen, especially considering my dietary restrictions. From the moment I sat down, I was impressed with how every item on the menu was clearly marked with allergy information, including the dessert options!
Our server was incredibly kind and helpful, offering fantastic recommendations tailored to my needs. He made sure to explain everything on the menu. The manager even came out to personally deliver my food.
I got for the air-fried gluten-free chicken tenders, which were absolutely delicious! They had a great crunch and went perfectly with the sweet potato hash. For dessert, we had the chocolate peanut butter tart, and it was like biting into a giant Reese's peanut butter cup!
Overall, the experience was top-notch. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and I felt truly cared for in terms of my dietary needs. I’ll definitely be returning to True Food Kitchen again soon!
I tried the gluten free chicken tenders and it was not good. They were cold, the breading didn’t taste good and you could tell there was no care put into it. Overall this gluten free menu lacks flavor and touch.
