Was in Salina overnight and Tucson’s was right in front of my hotel. I wasn’t really hungry, my brother I was traveling with was. My father joined us and everything that was order (except the fresh bread brought to the table) was gluten free by the nature of the food. I had the Jalapeños and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp from the appetizer menu. It was more than I could eat! 6 large shrimp grilled with bacon wrapped around them. The bacon wasn’t cooked thru on a couple of the shrimp. I took it off and the shrimp was pink and grilled nicely. There’s no sauce served with the shrimp. My dad also had shrimp and asked for cocktails sauce. I used it and I also used the spicy sweet sauce that came with the jalapeños. That was a great pairing! The jalapeños were so good. Cheesey goodness nestled in jalapeño halves surrounded by bacon and grilled to perfection. Add in the sauce and it was a symphony of flavors in my mouth. I would definitely order these repeatedly if I lived in Salina! The steak my brother ordered was a perfect medium rare. And was beautifully grilled. It was a large sirloin that he couldn’t finish (he was as surprised as Dad and I about that). His baked potato was good (and going in late in the evening potatoes are always the best). This potato looked like baked potatoes served early in the evening. While this is a moderately expensive place, the portions and quality make it a worthwhile addition to any list of central and western Kansas places. Near 135 off Magnolia, so it’s pretty easy to access. Just allow time for a nap afterwards! 😉

I was a little hesitant about calling to order ahead due to my gluten freeness. When I called the hostess let me know they do have a gluten free menu and actually read several items off of the menu to me, WOW. (That was above and beyond, thank you!) I went along with some other GF reviews and ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and the jalapeños. BEST CHOICE OF THE DAY! The jalapeños were absolutely delicious. A little spicy with the scrumptious cheese and bacon. Uh, huh. Then came the shrimp. It was cooked to perfection. The bacon was crispy, not burned. The shrimp were a good size and there was some kind of tasty marinade or seasoning on it. The combination of those three things made for one delightful meal. Ya baby, ya! We will be returning when we go back that direction. NO, I didn’t get glútenes one bit.

Great place and they have a gluten free menu!!! I highly recommend the bacon wrap shrimp and jalapeños. Steak and veggie kabobs were very good too.

I honestly was worried that it was not gluten free, not sure why but I was a bit worried. It has been a few days and still no signs of being sick so clearly it was safe. The food is not great, I consider it to taste like early 2000s wedding buffet food (but this is not a buffet) but it was gluten free and right near our hotel. I had the Tuscon chicken with mashed potatoes. They also carry white claws.

They have a gluten free menu, but I can’t be sure they really know all sources that have gluten. The gluten free menu is basically meat and cheese items. The appetizer came with a sauce but I was too cautious to try it.
The food was really tasty. We had stuffed jalapeños, bacon wrapped shrimp, and a loaded chicken (chicken, cheese, onion, mushroom, bacon).
Our waitress Rachelle was great. She knew a good amount and was very willing to ask about anything she didn’t know. There is a gluten free menu, although the drink menu isn’t marked, so asking about that might be a good idea. The bacon-wrapped shrimp, brisket, steak, and ribs were what we had, and they were all delicious!

They have a gluten free menu, and our server seemed knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities. This will be our go-to when traveling through Salina.
As with any restaurant they cannot guarantee there is no cross contamination, but at least they have a menu. Have the steak which was great!! a++++
