I’m celiac and was so nervous about eating here! But I’ve now ate at Tupelo over 20+ times and never have been sick. I always get the shrimp & grits and LOVE them! Would recommend

The few gf items are great! Fun drinks and low key atmosphere. Have had no issues with cross contamination.

Delicious! I’m a celiac and felt very safe eating their shrimp and grits. Was also a fine environment to bring our toddler; not too fancy.

There were a few gluten free options, but not a whole lot. I would say the restaurant is safe for those with sensitivities or intolerances, but NOT celiac. The green beans are listed as gluten free, but when they were brought out (after ordering and alerting the waiter that I am celiac) I was told there was a chance of cross contamination. I poked through them and found bits of fried chicken batter stuck to them, so definitely shared fryers. Our order also took an exceptionally long time (waiter forgot to put it in) and we were brought biscuits for the meantime with no other options for the gf individuals.
However, I got the cast iron pork which was extremely tasty, and had no chance for cross contamination.

The ShaShuKa was sooo yummy! Waitress was great to recommend GF options.
Very knowledgeable staff. Said everyone was trained. Menu clearly marked with gluten free options.
Menu has changed! We used to come here semi-regularly but hadn't been for a while. There were only a few gf options, no gf bread option, and even things like a vegetable omelet weren't safe. The waiter even said they weren't allergy friendly anymore. Sad!

The food here was super delicious…all sauces and meals are made in-house and fresh. GF items are listed on the menu. Not a lot of GF specific items…but because everything is made fresh and in-house, they are able to re-make items to accommodate allergies. I had the Grilled chicken BLT…and they were able to make it GF…they even have GF bread for sandwhiches. They do not have a dedicated fryer…so fried foods are out. I would definately go back.

I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent. They have menu items marked gf, which are limited, and they also carry gluten free bread. But the shrimp and grits were probably the best I’ve had. Not spicy but full of flavor, made fresh to order. Yummy.

Lovely place, but they don’t have a gluten free menu. In fact, they have only a few items that are GF. We didn’t stay to eat.
