Redid their menu and now they have gluten free items marked. There aren’t a ton but they do have some good selections.

I ordered the spinach salad to be extra safe but I didn’t run into any problems!

Update: they no longer have a separate GF menu, which is a real shame. Several items that were on the old menu are no longer listed as GF. It used to be easy to eat there, but now it's a lot of work to figure out what I can & can't eat - even with a few items marked GF. And the servers ALWAYS a bring me a biscuit. :(
I've eaten here twice now with no issues (grilled cheese & tomato soup, and the shrimp & grits). Try their blueberry iced tea!As soon as I told the servers I have celiac, they immediately took it seriously. Their GF menu is extensive compared to so many restaurants, & their website says they're Great Kitchens Certified by the National Foundation of Celiac Awareness.

The staff was not helpful and unwilling to modify dishes. Very limited menu for GF, and very poor quality for what is available. I found a foreign object in my salad, and the waitress didn’t even care.

The menu is marked but you are very limited with your breakfast options (2-3 egg options). I have eaten there twice now for breakfast. First experience was fine, but our second experience was really bad. Slow and apathetic service, confusion about gluten issues... I asked for fresh fruit for our daughter and was told they didn't have any fruit! That seemed very bizarre to me! Our entire table ended up feeling sick after eating, and I was the only one with a gluten issue.

I have Celiac, and have eaten there twice with no issues. It has a limited gf menu, butch the shrimp and grits are good.

Amazing! Knowledgable staff and wonderful atmosphere. I had the grits and shrimp with Carmelized onions, spinach and mushrooms.

This is literally one of my favorite spots to eat! My best friend and I both can't have gluten and this is our go to. Every time I've gone the server has been so accommodating and so patient checking on things for me. The managers are awesome too. Each time I've told my server I was GF I've had a manger visit my table. My servers always ask (for my friends who can have gluten) if it's okay to bring the biscuits to the table for them! I literally can't say enough about this place!
The food was good as it has always been. Have eaten here before I discovered I had celiac so I am glad that I can come back and eat here again.

Delicious brunch! Be sure to tell them you have celiac. Wish they had more GF options! Read more: http://glutenfreecarolinagirl.com/2015/06/05/gluten-free-at-tupelo-honey-cafe-charlotte-nc/
Told server I have a wheat allergy. Ordered shrimp & grits (marked GF on the menu). Server said he wasn't sure if it has wheat. I said it shouldn't if marked GF. When he finished writing down my order he asked if he could bring me a biscuit! Ugh!! Limited GF options, but be careful and ask questions.

I got Grilled cheese and a mixed platter with Collard greens and sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts and fruit Very yummy. Need to be specific if u r celiac to avoid cross contamination. Very good food though
We ate at the one in Asheville and it was great. Now there's one in Charlotte too. Gluten free menu with southern fare, lots of sides. Grilled cheese sandwiches are great with a cup of soup. Celiac and i've had no problems there.

Menu has changed! We used to come here semi-regularly but hadn't been for a while. There were only a few gf options, no gf bread option, and even things like a vegetable omelet weren't safe. The waiter even said they weren't allergy friendly anymore. Sad!

The food here was super delicious…all sauces and meals are made in-house and fresh. GF items are listed on the menu. Not a lot of GF specific items…but because everything is made fresh and in-house, they are able to re-make items to accommodate allergies. I had the Grilled chicken BLT…and they were able to make it GF…they even have GF bread for sandwhiches. They do not have a dedicated fryer…so fried foods are out. I would definately go back.

I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent. They have menu items marked gf, which are limited, and they also carry gluten free bread. But the shrimp and grits were probably the best I’ve had. Not spicy but full of flavor, made fresh to order. Yummy.

Lovely place, but they don’t have a gluten free menu. In fact, they have only a few items that are GF. We didn’t stay to eat.
