Twisted Sugar

I ended up not ordering from here, but thought I’d share why. The two young ladies working tonight were helpful and told me that Twisted Sugar bakes fresh GF sugar cookies every morning. They advised me that I could order just about any toppings as long as they were on a GF sugar cookie. They said the bakers clean really well and make the GF cookies before any other cookies to reduce chances of cross contamination. This is all awesome and I was excited to try a cookie, however when I asked if they have a separate frosting container for GF cookies they said no. They use frosting out of the same containers to frost both GF and regular cookies throughout the day. I asked if it was possible to use frosting out of an unopened/new container and they said no. For me, the risk of cross contamination was sadly too high to risk eating here. If you aren’t really sensitive to cross contamination, the cookies look delicious.

My cookies were delicious! Staff was super knowledgeable and very concerned about maintaining safety. The district manager just happened to stop in while she was off and overhead me asking questions while ordering and stepped away from her family to come over and explain every procedure they have in detail to provide cross contamination. 100% recommend.

The have yummy soda drinks and lots of gluten free cookie options! They have a GF sugar cookie and you can customize and add whatever toppings they have. I love the “banana creme pie” and the “swizzle sugar” just make sure to clarify GF cause they have non GF ones as well.
