Food was okay. Separate fryer for fish, not fries. Place kind of smelled and there were flies.
Would not go back. Staff were all nice. Salad came out with croutons but they fixed.
After reading about the fish and chips, my husband and I went for lunch… I’ve had real British Fish and Chips, so I’m definitely biased…. Unfortunately the fish and chips did not live up to my expectations, but I did not get sick, so that was a win! I think my fish and chips were baked rather than fried… maybe that’s their version of a dedicated fryer or maybe they baked instead of fried because we went during an off time? If we go back, I’ll try the flatbread; but not sure we will go back.
Ate here several times on a recent visit! Food was delicious. It was wonderful to have fish and chips since they have a dedicated fryer. Staff was knowledgeable and made sure my food was gluten free.

I told the waitress that I was Celiac. The manager came right to my table and explained how they would prepare my food. They cleaned surfaces and changed gloves. The GF flatbread pizza was fantastic! I didn’t get sick!!! Outside bar and entertainment were also great!
Union Jacks does not have a separate gluten free fryer but offers gluten free batter for their fish and chips. Very misleading!
Wonderful to be able to eat in a pub with friends. I had the GF fish and chips -- cooked in a dedicated fryer! This was not the heavy batter one associates with fish and chips, but it was tasty. The chips are not gourmet, but they are fried potatoes and I enjoyed myself. They also have cider on tap. Definitely a place to keep in mind.
