I went recently and ordered the gluten free pizza like I always do. Everything was the same, but some how I was glutenated. They even brought my pizza out separately from the other entrees. I won't be going back to find out why, but I suspect a mix up in the prep of my pizza (i.e. cooked it unwrapped in the oven). I've gone here many times, without issue, but I'm not about to take another risk.
Pizza was amazing! Hard to believe it was GF!!!
Been a couple times and eaten off gluten "sensitive" menu. First visit was a burger with Udi's bun. Burger was good. Bun was very dry. Second visit I ordered the gluten free pizza. This is definitely a frozen pizza completely pre-made. Crust was good and thicker than they normally are. Pizza would have been better if they put their own cheese and sauce on it. But I guess that's their way of reducing CC.
Had their gluten free pizza and it was delicious. I have a very severe gluten allergy but I did not have a reaction at all. Very satisfied
Called ahead and was assured cc wasn't a problem. Server wasn't familiar with the term celiac but put it in the order to ensure chef knew. Pizza crust looked big and thick like no gf I have seen- so much so that my daughter wouldn't eat it until she saw others' pizza to know it was different. I didn't try it but told that it was great, and no issues later!
I get takeout gluten free pizza all of the time. I have celiac and am very sensitive to gluten but have not gotten sick ever before at UNO's. They prepare my gluten free pizza separate from other pizzas, and it is very tasty as the crust comes from a gluten free bakery! I definitely recommend getting the gluten free pizza here!
They have gf pizza, but the chef is average to below avg If you order gf pizza (actually not bad tasting) ask for it to be well done. We had to ask for it to be sent back 3 times because it wasn't hot enough-they prob cook it ok a pan that doesn't allow the center to get cooked well enough-so the 1st time it came out it was almost raw in the middle The red skin mashed potato tastes like plastic which prob means they just heat up a premade product in plastic & microwave As for non gf food for others dining with you The pasta (not gf) is over cooked and mushy Chicken parm -just ok, 2 out of 5 Dessert (not gf) Cookie with ice cream was apparently delicious :-) Staff was very nice and felt terrible about the pizza Good option only if you're in the area and there's nothing else
It wasn't very busy when we arrived but it seemed a long time to get our food. One dish came out cold which we returned. They offered to get another dish but we had ordered two pizzas so they just had pizza.
Their gluten free pizza was real delicious and the brought my pizza first so that they would cross contaminate. Our waiter was good he came to the table frequently to make sure everything was ok, even the manager came to our table too. We had a good time
Best pizza .. Awsome !
Decided to give Uno's a try after seeing their GF menu online. Fair number of choices available and food was good overall. One big mistake was made when one of us got our salad. You could see specks of croutons on it, but luckily we caught it before it was eaten. To their credit, the manager took charge of the situation and ensured the dinners were safe to eat. He did a great job. Overall we'd recommend this restaurant but would probably go somewhere like Not Your Average Joes if given the option.
Had gf pizza and it was great. The base was from Venice Bakery and was really good, not dry at all. Pizza is cooked on a different shelf in the oven and and served separately from the non gf good ordered. Waiter was very helpful and pleasant. GF beer also available (Redbridge)
Pizza not celiac safe - asked waiter if it is made on the same surfaces and he said yes but it "can't make you sick because it's too hot of a surface that it kills the gluten" .... needless to say, didn't order the pizza. Waiter was rude and didn't have the time of day to speak with me about my order, so ended up ordering a basic salad. Only reason this has 2 stars is because they did have a gluten free beer.
