This place is amazing! The GF baked goods are some of the best I've ever had! The gluten free pecan pie IS the best I've ever had, gluten free or not! Incredible! We also had great sandwiches, bread, cupcakes, cookies, and samples! They're happy to let you try things. Also offer a rewards program so sign up! Dedicated GF facility.
I have to talk myself out of going here daily because nobody needs that many carbs! I LOVE this place. I haven’t tried everything but I love the pizza crusts and muffins and their cupcakes are the bomb! I love going somewhere that I am not a minority when it comes to having menu choices and I don’t have to worry about contamination. I believe they are celiac friendly but I’m not 100 so I didn’t choose that.
I love this place! Lots of options for people with allergies. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about allergies and their food's ingredients. I love the cupcakes, cookies, sandwiches and smoothies. Several locations in Dallas area. I'm allergic to gluten/ wheat, corn and peanuts.
Newest location for Unrefined Bakery. Their 5th! I've known Taylor and Ann since the beginning of this wonderful adventure. Everything is made with care and attention. Yummy for the whole family. Sandwiches made to order. Cupcakes are my kiddos favorite!
The chocolate cupcakes had a fishy smell and taste to them, the pumpkin and vanilla were ok. Not as light, fluffy or moist as I would hope but ok. l had both the dairy free and cream cheese frosting, they aren't as sweet or as heavy as normal frosting so personal preference. Sugar cookies were tasty as was the trail mix.
I’ve been going to Unrefined bakery since they first opened in the old Casa Linda location. The absolute best cupcakes, gluten or not, on the planet. They make great sandwiches and party mix as well. Biscotti, muffins, loaves of bread, dinner rolls, breakfast breads .... omg now I’m hungry. Lol They’ve expanded into Keto, pies and cake by the slice as well! So lucky to have them so close!
We had the yellow birthday cake with chocolate frosting. The texture was great and the taste was good. The frosting was a bit too sweet and the cake didn’t have much flavor, but it was moist and not crumbly, and it held up well over 3 days. I would go back for another try!
So excited and happy to have a dedicated gluten free bakery close to home in Frisco. However, first time we tried it, I ordered a cookie cake for my son’s birthday and unfortunately it did not have any flavor. Willing to try again and order cake or cupcakes instead to see if any better.
My 7 year old daughter has celiac. She didn’t care for the unbutter cream vanilla cupcake but enjoyed the cookie and the brown velvet unbutter cream cupcake. I thought the vanilla one tasted good and I am not on gluten free.
The entire bakery is dedicated gluten free, and staff is very aware of any allergies. They have vegan and dairy-free options as well. The breads are delicious and hearty, and the cupcakes are incredible! I ate a sandwich in the shop that I really liked. Highly recommended!
This is a paradise for families with multiple allergies - everything is clearly marked and everything we tried was delicious. The sandwich bread was moist and delicious, even in the vegan variety. The entire establishment is gluten free.
Very friendly staff eager to help me with any and all allergies I and my girls might have. The samples of the pies where crazy good. I mean seriously how do they make gluten free taste so good. The chocolate silk pie was so smooth and full of flavor. I adored the coconut custard pie it wasn't overly packed with coconut but had such a great flavor. The fact that they have empty gluten free pie shells excited me because I will be able to make chicken pot pie for my husband again and let my girls have it for the first time. I picked up some beautiful gluten free cupcakes for me and my three girls to indulge in tonight after dinner. I can't wait to try the one that is supposed to be just like the old school cream filled hostess chocolate cupcakes.
A little piece of heaven on earth! You can get just about any kind of baked good here, including beautifully decorated cakes! My favorite thing about this bakery is that they don’t rob you blind just because they do GF, which is rare with bakeries.
I frequent the one on Skillman in Medallion center. Glad to have this in the neighborhood. I stop for a sandwich sometimes because the bread is really good. Of course all the bake goods are tasty and easy to grab muffins for the week.
Excellent option for gluten free food. Stopped here on a business trip Was able to get a sandwich to eat there and some cookies and frozen pumpkin loaf to bring home. Service is excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Even packed the cookies carefully in a box to protect them for the flight home. Highly recommended.
I ordered a cake for my twins’ birthday party. I ordered chocolate, thinking that with all these great reviews it must be really good. I tried their cupcakes years ago and thought it must have just been an off day, they were not good at all. I have been gluten free for 12 years and know what differences you can generally expect with gluten free baked goods. I was short on time and needed a cake for my kids so I ordered from Unrefined, thinking that it was probably good by now if they’re still in business. I was wrong. The cake we ordered for the party was really bad. We sliced cake for everyone and just barely tasted it, before deciding it couldn’t be safe to consume. It was dense, fudgy, but not sweet and sort of fishy smelling and tasteless. It was by far the worst gluten free anything I have ever had. And we really aren’t very picky! To top it all off, the management didn’t believe anything we said and were quite defensive. They had us bring back the cake so they could taste it! My kids were very disappointed, and still talk about the “rotten birthday cake” they had at their last birthday. The person we spoke to didn’t really seem to care that it was disappointing to my kids either, and was more concerned with defending the nasty cake. The cake isn’t even made in house, they make them in an off-site bakery or somewhere else. Anything could happen to it and they wouldn’t really know. I had a sandwich inside their restaurant last year. The girl taking our order was very nice. My husband was given a bag of chips that was completely open when he grabbed it to open it, so he went back to the counter to swap it out. The lady that was at the counter at that time either didn’t believe him or didn’t want to be bothered with giving him another bag. We will never return to this restaurant.
This is literally my favorite bakery anywhere. I go every week! I’ve never gotten sick but since it’s a 100% GF establishment it’s pretty easy to feels safe. I love that everything is soy free also, and most things are dairy free.
I wanted to like this place. I think it's great that they have a dedicated gf bakery. However I tried the cookie sandwiches and they are everything I hate most in gf cookies. They are airy, crunchy, have no flavor except an oily after taste. After giving them another try, their cupcakes are delicious!! Not too sweet and a great texture. Cookies are a hard pass for me though.
Found this delightful bakery in the Find Me Gluten Free app while vacationing here in Dallas. I bought a Loaded Monkey cupcake and a Vanilla/Vanilla cupcake. The vanilla cupcake is AMAZING!!!! So moist and tasty! I can't tell the difference, and neither cn my Gluten consuming friend who is with me. I also sampled the brownie and had a vanilla sugar cookie with sprinkles - both excellent! Highly recommend!
Not only do they have only gluten free, but they offer options for dairy free and more. The carrot cupcake with unbutter cream was out of this 🌎. Also tried the ginger cookie and sugar cookie. Soft and chewy without the gf crumbling. I will go back for lunch next time, and treat myself to a delicious sweet as well.
