Gluten free muffins that are to die for!

Awesome gluten free muffin. Let them know that you have celiac disease, and they will put on a glove before they serve it to you. It is in a case with other items, but they keep it far separated so nothing is touching anything else. And, every time I’ve been here, they always have the gluten-free muffins in exactly the same place,
Loved this place! I got a chai latte and the GF corn pancakes with bananas & walnuts. Everything was so yummy! The pancake was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The corn on top looks strange but, it tastes great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My family enjoyed their pastries and meals too. Easy walk to Santa Monica pier from here. Definitely recommend.

Ordering at the counter can be a little hectic, and it’s sometimes hard to hear. I’d recommend ordering online for takeout or delivery if you can. They’ve added a few more gluten free options over the years.

They do not have a separate waffle maker for the gluten free waffle! They had no idea what was gluten free for toppings. She said they would clean the grill to make the pancakes.

I ate the corn waffles and didn’t get sick but also didn’t feel safe. The environment was very hectic and I had little confidence that my order would be correct. You order at the front then someone brings your food to you later. It felt more like a “gluten free for fun” than a “gluten allergy” oriented environment.

I hadn’t been back to Urth since my celiac diagnosis. I was really looking forward to their food. When I mentioned my celiac, the cashier took out a book that had all the ingredients of all their foods in it. I was very impressed. We ruled out 2 meals that seemed gluten free. I ordered the Nicoise Salad as he said they could make it without croutons. When it arrived, it had 2 pieces of bread on it. I was starving by then so I ate the salad on the other side. I feel totally sick now. Frustrating.
