Food was good; but the two people at the front taking my order proudly proclaimed they "had no idea what gluten was." When I suggested maybe they should learn because they advertise that they're accommodating, they gave me attitude. Not sure if I'd return and DEFINITELY not safe if you're celiac!!

Update September 23, 2023: Returned excited for another good burger but without abin this time due to the last mistake where they put a gluten bun on my burger. The cooks seemed too busy singing to the top of their lungs to Prince's Purple Rain and other songs instead of watching the burgers. One was supposed to be medium rare and came out raw. The sweet potato fries were buried in salt. We made the mistake of returning the fries which came back to us just as salty and completely burnt, like they dumped ours back to the fryer and focued back on their own loud concert and let them burn. Normally, it's a place I look forward to going to. But the last two times have been awful. I've returned several times and except for once when they put my burger on a regular bun. But other than that it's still a great place! This Celiac safe place gave me my first SAFE burger since 2018! The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Apparently the Owners are celiac. They have a dedicated fryer so the french fries were crispy and safe. The staff (Cooks & Servers) changed their attire aprons/gloves and were extremely attentive. They even have fried chicken! Definitely a safe and yummy "MUST TRY"!

I ordered a cheese burger and the bun quickly became soggy and fell apart. The burger part was ok, nothing to write home about. The fries were good and made in a dedicated frier.

Got the ‘Round Here Burger’ and an order of sweet potato fries. They brought out the burger and the fries, and they asked if I wanted the fries to be gluten-free, and I said yes. So they brought the fries back and I ate my burger while waiting for the fries to come out. However, after 45 minutes without any fries or any status update or apology for the wait, it was time to move on with the rest of the day and I left without the fries. The burger was pretty good and didn’t make me sick, can’t comment on the fries though. May not be the best idea to come here if you don’t have ample amounts of time to spend here.

Excellent customer service, asked about the gluten free options, apparently only three items can not be turn gluten free. Delicious food, very welcoming and accommodating to allergies, sensitivities, and vegetarian lifestyles.

I was told that the owner has a gluten allergy. I got the gluten free fried chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. The fries were a little disappointing.

I cannot say enough good things about Vertigo! It is our #1 go-to. I am a highly sensitive celiac who is very hesitant to go out to eat anywhere. Everybody here is trained to know how to put your order in and they have separate fryers for everything! Their cheese fries are too die for, and their burgers are excellent. Oh, and they can make almost ANYTHING gf, including fried chicken!! You can get chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich and fries safely here. The ONLY downside is that it can get a bit pricey. But honestly, I think it’s worth the price knowing that it’s safe š

They changed gloves and had a dedicated fryer. Also served my food in takeout containers as opposed to the normal plates to ensure safety. So in terms of safety, they're great. Customer service was definitely a tad abysmal though. I dined in and waited about half an hour for my food. The girl at the front also took a while to actually take said order and put it into the system. So while a safe option, definitely would order ahead and take it to go rather than eat in.

We were driving through Tallahassee on our way home from Tampa and found this yummy place! They were very knowledgeable about Celiac and proper precautions. My Celiac son was so excited about being able to eat gf fries and chicken tenders. They also had a delicious gf bun for the burgers. Highly recommended!

The intention here is really good but the entire staff is a bunch of kids. Although I’m sure they mean well, the gluten free vision is not properly executed and I was definitely glutened š„² I have celiac so this sucks a lot for me.

Picking up a burger to go to take to a group dinner at another place. :) So good!!! Separate fryer. Great staff! We come here every visit to Tally. My daughter has celiac.

Delicious! Basically everything except onion rings and jalapeño poppers can be made gluten-free. They have separate fryers and separate prep areas so you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination and the gluten-free buns look very very different from the regular ones so you don’t have to worry about getting someone else’s order by mistake. Apparently the owner has celiac disease so they’re very careful and every staff member was very knowledgeable about it. The burger and sweet fries I got were delicious and I will definitely be back.

I will dream about this place until i am able to go again, it was so good! I had the Tremor burger with fries and bacon mayo sauce. The staff member taking my order stated they could make all the menu into gluten free options except 2 items. She also stated the owner has Celiac disease, which helped put me at ease and ensured they would be careful with cross contamination. š¤¤š¤¤

My daughter also Celiac had one of the burgers she said it was eh. My son a gluten eater had the mahi sandwich and ate half and now is sick. We won’t be going back.

About 6 weeks ago, I was driving thru Tallahassee and used this app to try and find food. I was impressed and feel safe to eat here (Celiac) after employees told me they have a dedicated prep area and fryer for GF. Their food is so delicious! My sister in law and I drove an hour and fifteen minutes last night to eat there. I was not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable.

I’m updating (3/22) since I go here often now: I never have any problems here. Even thru online ordering. It’s so nice not to have to worry knowing you have one “safe” restaurant. They can accommodate most of your dining guests allergies or preferences too. And they do have outdoor seating.

Went here after hearing great things about their gluten-free burgers. Had the vertigo burger and got very sick within half an hour. I think they might have given me a regular bun by mistake despite the container for the burger specifying that it was gluten-free. Can't believe I paid quite a bit extra for it to not be gluten-free. My experience might not be typical but it was certainly unpleasant.

I loved this place so much I hope it gets franchised to South Florida! If I'm back in Tallahassee, I will definitely be back! Everything was delicious! Almost everything can be made gluten free and they have many vegan options. I had the Going Green veggie burger and my mom had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich (1st time for mom at a restaurant in over 15 years!). They use rice flour for the breading, gf bun and have a dedicate fryers. The fries were amazing.

This place is amazing!!! We travel quite a bit and this is now my new stopping place in Tally. The burger was nice and juicy and the gluten free bun is so soft. The fries were great too!! Next time Ill have to try something new. Highly recommend.
Felt misled by the claim they can make everything gluten free. They also claimed to have a gluten free menu, but refused to provide one when I asked. I was lured in by the prospect of gluten free onion rings and stuffed jalapenos, but those were not available in a gluten free form. Overall the food was fine, if forgettable, but it was also wildly overpriced, and they customer service was abysmally bad.
Very Celiac friendly. Dedicated fryer, gluten free buns. When we called and asked about the GF they asked if it was for celiacs and marked it as such for special handling. Thank you, thank you! We'll be back again.
Dedicated fryer-staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I had the buffalo chicken burger and fries. Delicious! And.... the bun didn’t fall apart! A+!

Delicious burgers, have gluten free buns.

Vertigo is one of my favorite places to go for gf food. I have celiac and am VERY sensitive to cross contamination and have never had a problem here. They have gluten free buns for burgers and there is a designated fryer for gf fries. If you say you want something gluten free they ask if it is for an allergy and mark it accordingly. The food also happens to be delicious. Can't recommend this place enough.
They also offer vegan options, and their black bean burger is very good.

Stopped here on a trip across I-10. Absolutely amazing. Staff is very knowledgeable and had no problems with making everything gluten free. I had the fried chicken and fries. They have a dedicated fryer. If I’m ever in the are again, I’ll go back.
Yes
First off- the onion rings are NOT available gluten free, no big deal- just a warning since I was disappointed.
The gf bun was good, buffalo fried chicken was delicious, meat of the burger was tender.
The kids grilled chicken tenders were TERRIBLE. They were VERY SALTY and heavily PEPPERED. My kids wouldn’t eat them and neither would I. šš»
The owner of this restaurant is gluten free, so you can rest assured that the proper precautions are being taken to ensure there is no CC! Dedicated fryers guarantee your food to be gluten free. I eat here AT LEAST three times a week. Almost everything can be made gluten free - hello fried chicken!! I missed you so! Other burger joints may offer gluten free buns and fries, but Vertigo goes the extra mile by making sure their customers are taken care of (and the food is better than the other places anyway)!
Yes
So yummy! Burgers (fried chicken) and fries! Yay!
Absolutely AMAZING! I have eaten here at least 7 times now, and have never gotten sick. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about cross contamination, and it very friendly. As a new FSU nole, it is great to have a safe place to eat. 10/10

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the first restaurants my child with celiac was able to order gluten free fried chicken fingers. Food was great!

We have always loved eating at Vertigo. For years my mom, a senior citizen, has ordered the gluten free kid’s chicken fingers. The portion was exact for her appetite. With paying the extra fee for the gf flour, the total is over $6 for a handful of fries and three chicken fingers. Today she stopped by to place a to go order and encountered a disgruntled employee who argued that my mom was not under 12 as the new sign stated and could not purchase a kid’s chicken fingers. My mom tried to reason with her to no avail. The employee continued to be rude so my mom left without eating. That’s incredibly disappointing. I am hoping the owners re-evaluate their new policy and weigh the cost of three chicken fingers against losing a family of five who have eaten there for years. If I ever go there again I will be sure to take my daughter’s ID to prove she is indeed young enough to eat the kid’s meal.
We just ate here. Delicious and safe for celiac. They have many options, and a dedicated fryer. They are very knowledgeable- when my daughter ordered a milkshake the girl at the counter asked if we had celiac and she warned us that the shake may have cross-contamination due to a shared blender with other shakes that contain graham crackers. I wish there was a place like this in South Florida.
Yes
Great place with lots of gluten free options! Ordered the chicken sandwich, fried green tomatoes, and regular fries (dedicated fryer). The had gf chicken tenders, fries, and fruit. The chocolate shake was the best I've ever tasted! If we are ever in the state...will stop by.
