I was so excited to try this place! Walked in on a Thursday night, only to be told by the hostess that "there is no room for walk ins". We would have stuck around if there was a wait time, but she made it clear that she could not be bothered to accommodate us, as the first available reservation was over an hour wait. Did I mention there were plenty of open tables? Disappointing!
Via 45 is the place to go when you love great food, view menus as suggestions, and value the time spent around the table with friends and family. The daily menu is based off fresh ingredients. This trade for quality means you will not have strawberries available all year. But Claudette and Lauren offer to satisfy your craving in the most available way possible. As a celiac with a good food addiction, Via is a haven like none around. Meals are slow, as they should be. Availability is more challenging, as great restaurants are. But worth the investment.
Very allergy friendly. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable and explained how kitchen keeps GF items separate. They even have homemade GF herb bread to start (for $4). Food was very good but it took a while for our entrees which is why I gave it 4 stars.
Delicious! Unique! The gluten free bread - to die for! It is pricey. Which is sad because for us it is a special occasions thing and I wish it was a regular! But the atmosphere is great. The cooks are delightful. Byob! And everything is so fresh. A great find and I felt completely and totally safe eating there!
