I’m always nervous to try a new restaurant. I told the waitress about my celiac and how sensitive I was and she said not to worry they are comfortable handling gluten allergies. When my salad came it had a giant crouton on top of it. I told the person that delivered it that I was so sorry but I would need a new salad because the whole salad was contaminated. He rolled his eyes and argued with me about just removing the crouton before finally taking it back. The waitress delivered my new salad and said they had to remake the other one because it had a crouton on it. I told her I knew and she just ignored me and nobody ever apologized for the error or seemed to care at all. The just seemed annoyed that they had to deal with allergies. I was with friends who were so nice about it but I was embarrassed because the staff made it seem like I was a major hassle. The pasta was fine but I hardly touched it because I was nervous.
